Davao Light and Power Co., Inc., an AboitizPower subsidiary, welcomed another batch of pawikan hatchlings at the Aboitiz Cleanergy Park in Sitio Punta Dumalag, Matina Aplaya, Davao City last June 29, 2021. A total of 149 pawikan hatchlings were released and they were from the third nest discovered last April 30.
This is the second batch of hatchlings released from the park. The first batch of pawikan eggs that hatched this year was released last June 4 with 90 pawikan hatchlings. There are 7 more pawikan nests with eggs that are expected to hatch in the next few months.
