Davao Light and Power Co., Inc. is the third largest privately-owned electric distribution utility in the country in terms of customer size and annual kWh sales.
Davao Light’s franchise area covers Davao City, Panabo City, and the municipalities of Carmen, Dujali, and Santo Tomas in Davao del Norte, alongside its expanded areas by virtue of Republic Act No. 12144. This expanded area includes Tagum City, the Island Garden City of Samal, and the rest of Davao del Norte and Davao de Oro, encompassing a population of approximately 4.7 million across a total area of 10,223 square kilometers.
As of June 2026, the company served a total of 575,365 customers with a recorded peak demand of 656 MW.
The growth in demand resulted in total sales of 1,692,790 MWh. Davao Light recorded a total growth in energy sales of 9.15% and an increase in demand of 21.25%.
Now in its 80th year of empowering the evolution of its communities, Davao Light, an Aboitiz Power Corporation subsidiary, provides solutions that pave the way for the development of its franchise area.
