After a rigorous cable-laying activity in the Pakiputan Strait—the first in the Company’s history—the 1,015 meter 69-kilovolt line will bring much-needed power network stability and support the growing load requirements of Samal.

The new facility is designed to meet the power demands of the 63-hectare agro-industrial park, Anflo Industrial Estate (AIE), a Special Economic Zone accredited by the Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA).

The sitio electrification program is a project by the national government of the Philippines that aims to connect far-flung barangays and underserved rural areas to the electrical grid of distribution utilities.
