Switching power interruptions on September 18, 20, and 21 in Davao City
Davao Light and Power Co., Inc. (Davao Light) will conduct switching power interruptions on Friday, Sunday, and Monday, September 18, 20, and 21, 2026, affecting some parts of Davao City.
The first switching power interruption is necessary to facilitate line work in Cadalian and Baguio District areas. This will be 8 hours, from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Friday, September 18, affecting customers from Purok 5, Malagos, Baguio District to Baguio Calinan, Cadalian, Tawantawan, portion of Wines, Calinan, and nearby areas.
The second set of switching power interruptions is necessary to implement substation work in Bangkal Substation. To avoid a longer power interruption, the loads from the affected lines will be transferred to a nearby substation for 45 minutes at any time between 1:00 a.m. and 3:00 a.m. on Sunday, September 20. Meanwhile, the normalization or return of loads to their normal setup will be conducted for 45 minutes at any time between 1:00 a.m. and 3:00 a.m. on Monday, September 21.
Specifically affected are customers in Bangkal to Matina Crossing, including Central Park, Matina Balusong; Catalunan Grande up to Santiago Villas, including Skyline, Monte Maria and nearby areas; From Bangkal Substation Diversion Road to Ulas Police Station; Brgy. Talomo along Jay Ortiz Road and its nearby environment, including Coca-Cola Bottlers Philippines, and portions of Ulas Bypass Road; from Bangkal Diversion Road to Davao-Cotabato Road corner Talomo Road to Libby Road up to South Pacific Estates, including DCWD Talomo Sump and Treatment Plant; and portions of Central Park Bangkal, Taal Road up to Cordillera Street Relief Bridge.
Customers in Quimpo Boulevard, from ET KTV to Bolton Bridge up to LTO Regional Office, including Felcris Centrale and nearby areas; from Purok 3, Lower Rapnaga, Bago Bridge, Talomo to crossing Ulas via Davao-Digos Road; and from Km. 14 MacArthur Highway, Toril to Km. 11 MacArthur Highway, Talomo (Dumoy Water Station) via MacArthur Highway (Toril); and from crossing Ulas up to Bambu Estate in Davao-Bukidnon Road are also affected by these service disruptions.
Davao Light apologizes for the inconvenience caused by these scheduled power interruptions. But it will exert all efforts to restore electric service as scheduled or earlier. However, there may be instances where restoration may extend beyond the schedule due to unavoidable circumstances.
