Switching power interruptions on September 13, 14, and 15 in Davao City

Davao Light and Power Co., Inc. (Davao Light) will conduct switching power interruptions on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday, September 13, 14, and 15, in different parts of Davao City.


The first set of switching power interruptions is necessary to facilitate the civil works at Pampanga Substation. To avoid a longer power interruption, the loads from the affected lines will be transferred to a nearby substation for 45 minutes anytime between 1:00 a.m. to 2:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 13. Meanwhile, the normalization or return of loads to their normal setup will be conducted for 45 minutes anytime between 1:00 a.m. to 2:00 a.m. on Monday, September 15.


Specifically affected are those from the entire Pampanga area, from portions of Lanang at Azuela Cove going to DPWH Panacan, including Sasa and nearby areas.


The second set of switching power interruptions is necessary to conduct substation works at Calinan Substation, and line upgrading and maintenance works from Lacson to Gumalang. The loads from the affected lines will be transferred for 45 minutes anytime between 2:00 a.m. to 3:00 a.m. and for another 45 minutes anytime between 6:00 a.m. to 7:00 a.m. on Sunday, September 14.


Specifically affected are those from Davao-Buda National Highway, covering areas of Brgy. Lacson, Gumalang, Suawan, and Marilog, from Guiho Road to Davao-Bukidnon Road corner Biao Road (near DCWD Tugbok) via Davao-Bukidnon Road. This also includes Campo Cienco Road and nearby areas. Customers from Calinan-Baguio-Cadalian Road via R. Magsaysay Street and Datu Abing Street, and Kalye Apeke, and portions of Villafuerte Street, and nearby areas will also be affected by these service disruptions.


In connection, an 8-hour power interruption will be conducted from 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 14, affecting customers in the entire Brgy. Lacson, Gumalang, Suawan, and Marilog.


Meanwhile, the normalization or return of loads to their normal setup will be conducted for 45 minutes anytime between 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 14. Specifically affected are customers from Calinan-Baguio-Cadalian Road via R. Magsaysay Street and Datu Abing Street, including Kalye Apeke and portions of Villafuerte Street, and nearby areas, Davao-Buda National Highway, covering areas of Brgy. Lacson, Gumalang, Suawan, and Marilog.


Davao Light apologizes for the inconvenience caused by these scheduled power interruptions. But it will exert all efforts to restore electric service as scheduled or earlier. However, there may be instances where restoration may extend beyond the schedule due to unavoidable circumstances.


Safety is paramount to the company, and Davao Light reminds the public to always take extra precautions when passing by activity areas where line repairs and maintenance are being done. Please heed and follow warning signs, especially in areas where personnel operate heavy equipment.
