Switching power interruptions on October 31, November 2, and 3 in Davao City and Davao del Norte

Davao Light and Power Co., Inc. (Davao Light) will conduct switching power interruptions on Friday, Sunday, and Monday, October 31, November 2, and 3, 2025, in different parts of Davao City and Davao del Norte. This advisory reflects changes to the October 31 and November 3 power interruption schedules initially released by the company on October 28, 2025.
The first set of switching power interruptions is necessary to facilitate the preventive maintenance activities for Bunawan Substation. To avoid a longer power interruption, the loads from the affected lines will be transferred to a nearby substation for 45 minutes anytime between 4:00 a.m. to 6:00 a.m. on Friday, October 31. Meanwhile, the normalization or return of loads to their normal setup will be conducted for 45 minutes anytime between 1:00 a.m. to 3:00 a.m. on Monday, November 3.
Specifically affected are those from Mercury Drug Sasa, Star Oil Sasa, Km. 10 - 13 Sasa, corner DPWH; Diversion Road from Panacan Public Cemetery up to Landmark Subdivision and nearby areas; along Daang Maharlika Highway from Panacan Cemetery to Buhisan Tibungco, including crossing Eliong, Panacan areas, and Tibungco Public Market, Mudiang, Ilang, and nearby areas; from Buhisan Tibungco going to Mahayag, Gatungan, Bosque, and the entire Bunawan area.
In addition, customers from Bunawan overpass to Sea Oil Gas Bunawan will be affected during the transfer of loads on October 31. Meanwhile, during the normalization on November 3, customers from the Bunawan overpass to Panabo City Hall will also be affected.
The second set of switching power interruptions is necessary to facilitate substation works at Gaisano Substation. The loads from the affected lines will be transferred to a nearby substation for 45 minutes anytime between 1:00 a.m. to 2:00 a.m. on Sunday, November 2. Meanwhile, the normalization or return of loads to their normal setup will be conducted for 45 minutes anytime between 4:00 a.m. to 5:00 a.m. on Monday, November 3.
Specifically affected are those from Buhangin area, from Buhangin overpass up to the Orange Grove Hotel Buhangin; hospital line from Mabini Street up to the Circumferential Road going to DMSF; from NBI Region XI Office Bajada to Bacaca area up to Diversion Road entrance to Jade Valley and Earth Grain Diversion Road underpass, including Garcia Heights, El Rio Vista Village, Rolling Hills Subdivision, Robinsons Highlands, and nearby areas; from Ponciano Substation to Nograles Park to part of Elpidio Quirino Street to parts of Sta Ana Avenue, and parts of Guzman Street including San Pedro Hospital, and Gaisano Mall.
Davao Light apologizes for the inconvenience caused by these scheduled power interruptions. But it will exert all efforts to restore electric service as scheduled or earlier. However, there may be instances where restoration may extend beyond the schedule due to unavoidable circumstances.
