Switching power interruptions on November 9 in the southwest part of Davao City

Davao Light and Power Co., Inc. (Davao Light) will conduct switching power interruptions on Sunday, November 9, 2025, in the southwest part of Davao City. These are necessary to facilitate line works for Tugbok Substation and substation works for Calinan Substation.
To avoid a longer power interruption, the loads from the affected lines will be transferred to a nearby substation for 45 minutes anytime between 12:00 a.m. to 1:00 a.m.. Meanwhile, the normalization or return of loads to their normal setup will be conducted for 45 minutes anytime between 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m..
Specifically affected are those from Tugbok Substation going to Angalan Bridge 3 up to Purok 20 Fausta, Calinan, and nearby areas, from Calinan Substation going to De Lara Street, including Biao Joaquin, Talandang areas, Davao-Buda National Highway, covering areas of Brgy. Lacson, Gumalang, Suawan, and Marilog.
Meanwhile, customers from Calinan-Baguio-Cadalian Road via R. Magsaysay Street and Datu Abing Street, including Kalye Apeke and portions of Villafuerte Street, and nearby areas are also affected by the normalization schedule.
An 8-hour power interruption will also be conducted to facilitate the necessary works. This will be from 12:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m., affecting customers from Sumifru Calinan Hub up to Purok 20 Fausta Calinan, from Calinan Substation up to Sea Oil Fausta, Calinan, and Sampaguita Street, Purok 1 Riverside, Calinan.
Davao Light apologizes for the inconvenience caused by these scheduled power interruptions. But it will exert all efforts to restore electric service as scheduled or earlier. However, there may be instances where restoration may extend beyond the schedule due to unavoidable circumstances.
