Switching power interruptions on November 23 and 24 in Davao City

Davao Light and Power Co., Inc. (Davao Light) will conduct switching power interruptions on Sunday and Monday, November 23 and 24, 2025, in different parts of Davao City.
The first set of switching power interruptions is necessary to facilitate the preventive maintenance activities at Dumoy Substation. This advisory reflects changes to this schedule initially released by the company on November 20, 2025.
To avoid a longer power interruption, the loads from the affected lines will be transferred to a nearby substation for 45 minutes anytime between 3:00 a.m. to 4:00 a.m. on Sunday, November 23. Meanwhile, the normalization or return of loads to their normal setup will be conducted for 45 minutes anytime between 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on the same day.
Specifically affected are those from the entire Dumoy areas to Daliao Toril, including Vales Beach; going to Libby road Toril Memorial via Bago Aplaya Road, and nearby areas; Puan areas to Harvey's Kambingan and nearby areas, Toril areas from Bato, Eden Bayabas, and nearby areas.
The second set of switching power interruptions is necessary to facilitate pole installation and line works at the Pampanga Substation. The loads will be transferred to a nearby substation for 1 hour starting anytime between 10:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 23. Meanwhile, the return of loads will be conducted for 1 hour starting anytime between 6:00 a.m. to 7:00 a.m. on Monday, November 24.
Customers from the Mercury Drug Sasa, Km 10 to 13 Sasa, up to the corner of DPWH and nearby areas, Pampanga area from the Hizon Elementary School, Pampanga Executive Homes, Nova Tierra, Fortune Homes, Insular Village, up to Security Bank Insular and nearby areas, and portions of J.P. Laurel Avenue from crossing Mamay to Carmelite Monastery, including the entire Mamay Road, portions of Fortune Homes, and Stella Hizon Road, will be affected by these service disruptions.
Davao Light apologizes for the inconvenience caused by these scheduled power interruptions. But it will exert all efforts to restore electric service as scheduled or earlier. However, there may be instances where restoration may extend beyond the schedule due to unavoidable circumstances.
