Switching power interruptions on November 22 and 23 in Davao City and Davao del Norte

Davao Light and Power Co., Inc. (Davao Light) will conduct switching power interruptions on Saturday and Sunday, November 22 and 23, 2025, in different parts of Davao City and Davao del Norte.
The first set of switching power interruptions is necessary to facilitate line works at Gredu Substation. To avoid a longer power interruption, the loads from the affected lines will be transferred to a nearby substation for 45 minutes anytime between 10:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 22. Meanwhile, the normalization or return of loads to their normal setup will be conducted for 45 minutes anytime between 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. on Sunday, November 23.
Specifically affected are those from portions of Daang Maharlika Highway in Panabo from Panabo City Hall up to the entire Panabo area, including portions of Gredu poblacion; portions of Gredu to Tadeco Road up to Nanyo Central Elementary School; portions of Brgy. Gredu, Brgy. San Francisco (Poblacion), and portions of Carmen from Flying V Carmen going to Tuganay, and nearby areas. Also affected are those from the Panabo Wharf area, and from Panabo Wharf Road going to Panabo poblacion up to the Panabo Bus Terminal.
The second set of switching power interruptions is necessary to facilitate the preventive maintenance activities at Dumoy Substation. The loads from the affected lines will be transferred to a nearby substation for 45 minutes anytime between 5:00 a.m. to 6:00 a.m. on Sunday, November 23. Meanwhile, the return of loads to their normal setup will be conducted for 45 minutes anytime between 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on the same day.
Specifically affected are those from the entire Dumoy areas to Daliao Toril, including Vales Beach; going to Libby road Toril Memorial via Bago Aplaya Road, and nearby areas; Puan areas to Harvey's Kambingan and nearby areas, Toril areas from Bato, Eden Bayabas, and nearby areas.
Davao Light apologizes for the inconvenience caused by these scheduled power interruptions. But it will exert all efforts to restore electric service as scheduled or earlier. However, there may be instances where restoration may extend beyond the schedule due to unavoidable circumstances.
Safety is paramount to the company, and Davao Light reminds the public to always take extra precautions when passing by activity areas where line repairs and maintenance are being done. Please heed and follow warning signs, especially in areas where personnel operate heavy equipment.
