Switching power interruptions on November 10 in different parts of Davao City

Davao Light and Power Co., Inc. (Davao Light) will conduct switching power interruptions on Monday, November 10, 2025, in different parts of Davao City.


The first switching power interruption is necessary to facilitate the deloading of the Buhangin Substation. To avoid a longer power interruption, the loads from the affected lines will be transferred to a nearby substation for 30 minutes anytime between 1:00 a.m. to 2:00 a.m.. 


Specifically affected are those from AFPSLAI, Camp Catitipan up to LPU Davao, including F. Bangoy International Airport, KJC, Sta Lucia Mall, Ponte Verde, Orchid Hills, Sun City Road, and portions along Communal Road.


Meanwhile, the second switching power interruption is necessary to facilitate pole relocation for the Maa Flyover Project. The loads from the affected lines will be transferred to a nearby substation for 45 minutes anytime between 10:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. 


Specifically affected are those from corner Gempesaw Street and Ramon Magsaysay Avenue to Leon Garcia Street, from Soliman Street, Agdao to portions of F. Bangoy Street up to N. Torres Street, Obrero, and from Sta. Ana Avenue to Lizada Street, Quezon Boulevard to Bolton Bridge, including Bucana, City Hall, and SP Building, portions of Pichon Street and Bolton Extension, and neighboring areas.


Davao Light apologizes for the inconvenience caused by these scheduled power interruptions. But it will exert all efforts to restore electric service as scheduled or earlier. However, there may be instances where restoration may extend beyond the schedule due to unavoidable circumstances.


Safety is paramount to the company, and Davao Light reminds the public to always take extra precautions when passing by activity areas where line repairs and maintenance are being done. Please heed and follow warning signs, especially in areas where personnel operate heavy equipment.
