Switching power interruptions on July 8 in different parts of Davao City

Davao Light and Power Co., Inc. (Davao Light) will conduct switching power interruptions on Tuesday, July 8, 2025, in different parts of Davao City. These are necessary to facilitate substation works at Lanang Substation.
To avoid a longer power interruption, the loads from the affected lines will be transferred to a nearby substation for 45 minutes anytime between 1:00 a.m. to 2:00 a.m. Meanwhile, the normalization or return of loads to their normal set-up will be for another 45 minutes anytime between 5:00 a.m. to 6:00 a.m..
Specifically affected are those from Brgy Lapu-Lapu, Brgy Centro Extension Agdao, Davao Fire Fighters, Alumina Industries, Agdao Flyover, Gotamco Agdao, and portions of Leon Garcia Street. Also affected are those from the corner of Arroyo Street to R. Castillo crossing, Grandland, Davao Diamond Hardware, Green Dragon Lumber Supplies, Choice Mart R. Castillo, Ubalde, Go Green Oil, Daikin Aircon Phils., Alterado Hospital, the back of Porras Elementary School, and Villamor Street.
Customers from Roseville Subdivision along Mamay Road going to Damosa, and portions of J.P. Laurel Avenue from North Palm Hotel, Lanang Business Park to SM Lanang, and portions of Dacudao Loop will also be affected by the 45-minute load transfer anytime between 1:00 a.m. to 2:00 a.m.. Meanwhile, the normalization will be for another 45 minutes anytime between 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. on the same day.
Davao Light apologizes for the inconvenience brought about by these scheduled power interruptions. But it will exert all efforts to restore electric service as scheduled or earlier. However, there may be instances where restoration may extend beyond the schedule due to unavoidable circumstances.
