Switching power interruptions on July 27, 28, and 29 in different parts of Davao City

Davao Light and Power Co., Inc. (Davao Light) will conduct switching power interruptions on Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday, July 27, 28, and 29, 2025, in different parts of Davao City.
The first set of switching power interruptions is necessary to conduct substation works at Tibungco Substation and line works at Tibungco and Malagamot. To avoid a longer power interruption, the loads from the affected lines will be transferred to a nearby substation for 45 minutes anytime between 1:00 a.m. to 3:00 a.m. on Sunday, July 27. Meanwhile, the normalization or return of loads to their normal set-up will be for another 45 minutes anytime between 1:00 a.m. to 3:00 a.m. on Monday, July 28.
Specifically affected are those from portions of Mamay Road from Roseville Subdivision to the entire Cabantian up to Indangan Barangay Hall; from Camp Catitipan up to Malagamot, Panacan, including F. Bangoy International Airport; entire Panacan and Tibungco areas, and portions of Bunawan up to Daniel Perez Central Elementary School.
Another switching power interruption will be conducted for substation works at Ponciano Reyes Substation. The loads from the affected lines will be transferred to a nearby substation for 45 minutes anytime between 1:00 a.m. to 2:30 a.m. on Monday, July 29.
Specifically affected are those from Buhangin areas from Camella Northpoint to Orange Grove Hotel; from Gaisano Substation to parts of J.P. Laurel Avenue to Bacaca Road, up to parts of Diversion Road up until the corner entrance to Jade Valley and Buhangin Diversion Road Earth Grain Inc.
Also affected are those from Mabini Street to parts of Circumferential Road – from parts of Magallanes Street to corner Bacaca Road, including Central Bank, Davao Doctors Hospital, Limso Hospital, Brokenshire Hospital, and DMSF.
Customers in Obrero area, from Lacson Street to Cervantes Street to Nicacio Torres Street, Nidea Street, Sobrecarey Street, and parts of Loyola Street up to Central Convenience Store, N. Torres including San Pedro Hospital will be affected by this scheduled outage.
Those from F. Torres Street to Nissan Bajada; the entire E. Jacinto Extension, parts of Mabini Street to portions of F. Torres Street from DCNHS, including J. Camus Extension up to portions of Marfori to Maa Bypass Road and Riverview Road, will also experience this service disruption.
Davao Light apologizes for the inconvenience brought about by these scheduled power interruptions. But it will exert all efforts to restore electric service as scheduled or earlier. However, there may be instances where restoration may extend beyond the schedule due to unavoidable circumstances.
