Davao Light and Power Co., Inc. (Davao Light) will conduct switching power interruptions on Sunday and Monday, July 20 and 21, 2025, in different parts of Davao City. These are necessary to facilitate substation works at Sta. Ana Substation.

To avoid a longer power interruption, the loads from the affected lines will be transferred to a nearby substation for 30 minutes anytime between 1:00 a.m. to 2:00 a.m. on Sunday, July 20. Meanwhile, the normalization or return of loads to their normal set-up will be for another 30 minutes anytime between 1:00 a.m. to 2:00 a.m. on Monday, July 21.

Specifically affected are those from Tulip Drive corner 1st Avenue, Juna Subdivision to South Grove going to Quezon Boulevard, City Hall, and SP Building, portions of Pichon Street, Bolton Extension, and neighboring areas.

Also affected are those from corner Gempesaw Street and Ramon Magsaysay Avenue to Leon Garcia Street, from Soliman Street, Agdao to portions of F. Bangoy Street up to N. Torres Street, Obrero, Sta. Ana Avenue to Lizada Street, Quezon Boulevard to Bolton Bridge, and Bucana area.

Davao Light apologizes for the inconvenience brought about by these scheduled power interruptions. But it will exert all efforts to restore electric service as scheduled or earlier. However, there may be instances where restoration may extend beyond the schedule due to unavoidable circumstances.

Safety is paramount to the company, and Davao Light reminds the public to always take extra precautions when passing by activity areas where line repairs and maintenance are being done. Please heed and follow warning signs, especially in areas where personnel operate heavy equipment.
