Davao Light and Power Co., Inc. (Davao Light) will conduct switching power interruptions on Wednesday and Thursday, February 5 and 6, 2025, affecting customers in the northern part of Davao City. These are necessary for the shutdown of Lanang Substation and ERA Line 2 to ensure safety during the Substation’s inauguration event.
To avoid a longer power interruption, the loads from the affected lines will be transferred to a nearby substation for 45 minutes anytime between 12:00 a.m. to 1:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 5. Meanwhile, the normalization or return of loads to their normal set-up will be for another 45 minutes anytime between 12:00 a.m. to 1:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 6.
Specifically affected are those in the entire Malagamot area, Brgy. Lapu-Lapu, Brgy. Centro Extension Agdao, Davao Fire Fighters, Alumina Industries, Agdao Flyover, Gotamco Agdao, and portions of Leon Garcia Street. Also affected are those in Lanang area from Lots for Less Pampanga, Waterfront Insular Hotel, Lizada Village, Azuela Cove, and crossing R.Castillo, Doña Pilar Village, Old Airport Road, Doña Salud, Legaspi Oil, Interco, PLDT Sasa, Mercury Drug Sasa, Star Oil Sasa, Km. 10 to 13 Sasa, and corner DPWH Panacan.
Customers from Hizon Elementary School, Pampanga Executive Homes, Nova Tierra, Fortune Homes, Insular Village, and Caltex Lanang will also be affected by these service disruptions.
Davao Light apologizes for the inconvenience brought about by these scheduled power interruptions. But it will exert all efforts to restore electric service as scheduled or earlier. However, there may be instances where restoration may extend beyond the schedule due to unavoidable circumstances.
