Switching power interruptions on February 2 in Davao City and Davao del Norte

Davao Light and Power Co., Inc. (Davao Light) will conduct switching power interruptions on Sunday, February 2, 2025, affecting customers in Davao City and Davao del Norte. 


To avoid a longer power interruption, the loads from the affected lines will be transferred to a nearby substation for 30 minutes anytime between 1:00 a.m. to 2:00 a.m. Meanwhile, the normalization or return of loads to their normal set-up will be for another 30 minutes anytime between 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. These are necessary to facilitate line upgrading works in Tugbok, Davao City.


Specifically affected are those along Davao Bukidnon Road from the corner of Lingap-Manambulan Road to Tugbok proper and up to Bambu Estate, Mintal proper.


In connection, an 8-hour power interruption will be conducted from 1:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. affecting customers along Davao Bukidnon Road from corner Dacudao bypass road going to BDO Network Bank Mintal proper, including portions of Green Meadows Subdivision, Bougainvilla, Azucena, and Tapay Streets to New Loon Mintal and portions of Lingap-Manambulan Road.


The second set of switching power interruptions is necessary to facilitate line works in Panabo, Davao del Norte. The loads from the affected lines will be transferred to a nearby substation for 30 minutes anytime between 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. Meanwhile, the normalization or return of loads to their normal set-up will be for another 30 minutes anytime between 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.


Specifically affected are customers along TADECO Central-Cabayao Road up to New Malitbog and Nanyo, including Manay Road going to Paquibato and Paradise Embac. TADECO Central and DAPACOR will also be affected.


Davao Light apologizes for the inconvenience brought about by these scheduled power interruptions. But it will exert all efforts to restore electric service as scheduled or earlier. However, there may be instances where restoration may extend beyond the schedule due to unavoidable circumstances.


Safety is of paramount importance to the company and Davao Light reminds the public to always take extra precautions when passing by activity area/s where line repairs and maintenance are being done. Please heed and follow warning signs, especially in areas where personnel operate heavy equipment.
