Switching power interruptions on December 14 and 15 in Davao City

Davao Light and Power Co., Inc. (Davao Light) will conduct switching power interruptions on Sunday and Monday, December 14 and 15, 2025, in different parts of Davao City.
The first set of switching power interruptions is necessary to facilitate the line works at Matina Crossing and Ulas Viaduct.
To avoid a longer power interruption, the loads from the affected lines will be transferred to a nearby substation for 45 minutes anytime between 12:00 a.m. to 1:00 a.m. on Sunday, December 14.
Specifically affected are customers from the entire Ecoland area going to McArthur Highway, MTS, Ateneo Grade School, Ecoland IT Park up to Davao Memorial Park; Quimpo Boulevard from Bolton Bridge going to South Grove; entire Tulip Drive up to Walnut Street; from Bangkal Diversion Road to Davao-Cotabato Road corner Talomo Road going to Libby Road up to South Pacific Estates, including DCWD Talomo Sump and Treatment Plant; also covering portions of Central Park Bangkal, Taal Road up to Cordillera Street Relief Bridge; Matina Crossing going to McArthur Highway Alexian Brothers, including Matina Shrine area; Matina Aplaya area going to Ecoland Coastal Road entrance; and Matina Pangi area to Diversion Road Bean Xpress and neighboring areas.
A 1-hour power interruption will also be conducted to facilitate the necessary works. This will be from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on the same day, affecting customers from Bangkal Central Park to Matina Balusong up to Matina Crossing, and nearby areas.
Also affected are those from Bangkal Substation Diversion Road going to Catalunan Grande Road up to Santiago Villas, including Skyline Subdivision, Monte Maria Subdivision, and its nearby areas; from Bangkal Substation Diversion Road going to Ulas Police Station; and the Brgy. Talomo areas along Jay Ortiz Road and its nearby environments, including Coca-Cola Bottlers Philippines.
Customers from Bangkal Diversion Road to Davao-Cotabato Road, corner Talomo Road to Libby Road up to South Pacific Estates, including DCWD Talomo Sump and Treatment Plant; and portions of Central Park Bangkal, Taal Road up to Cordillera Street Relief Bridge, will also be affected by this service disruption.
Meanwhile, the normalization or return of loads to their normal setup will be conducted for 45 minutes anytime between 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon on the same day. Specifically affected are those from the entire Ecoland area to McArthur Highway, MTS, Ateneo Grade School, Ecoland IT Park up to Davao Memorial Park; Quimpo Boulevard from Bolton Bridge to South Grove; and the entire Tulip Drive up to Walnut Street.
Also affected are those from Matina Crossing to McArthur Highway – Alexian Brothers, including Matina Shrine area; Matina Aplaya area to Ecoland Coastal Road entrance; Matina Pangi area to Diversion Road Bean Xpress and neighboring areas; the entire Maa area; Diversion Road to Jade Valley, Juliville to Tigatto, Mandug, Callawa, Indangan, and all neighboring areas; and Diversion Road going to Bean Xpress Matina Pangi Diversion and neighboring areas.
The second switching power interruption is necessary to facilitate the transfer of loads from one source to another. This will be for 30 minutes anytime between 1:00 a.m. to 2:00 a.m. on Monday, December 15, affecting customers from the Palos Verdes entrance to Indangan and Acacia areas.
Davao Light apologizes for the inconvenience caused by these scheduled power interruptions. But it will exert all efforts to restore electric service as scheduled or earlier. However, there may be instances where restoration may extend beyond the schedule due to unavoidable circumstances.
