Switching power interruptions on August 9 and 10 in the Cities of Davao and Panabo

Davao Light and Power Co., Inc. (Davao Light) will conduct switching power interruptions on Saturday and Sunday, August 9 and 10, 2025, in the Cities of Davao and Panabo.
The first set of switching power interruptions is necessary to conduct line clearing at Duterte Street and line works at Gredu Substation. To avoid a longer power interruption, the loads from the affected lines will be transferred to a nearby substation for 45 minutes anytime between 10:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 9.
Specifically affected are those from the entire J.P. Laurel Panabo to Maharlika Highway Panabo Central Elem School, including Panabo City Hall and the entire Quirino Street and Quirino Extension, and portions of Cabaluna Street, Brgy. Sto. Nino Panabo, and Rivera Medical Center. Also affected are those from portions of Panabo Wharf, from Metrobank up to Maharlika Highway Panabo Christian School, and to Tadeco Road up to Nanyo.
To facilitate the necessary line works, an eight-hour power interruption will be conducted from 10:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 9 to 6:00 a.m. on Sunday, August 10, affecting customers along Maharlika Highway, from corner Bangoy Street up to fronting National Irrigation Administration, including portions of Brgy. Gredu, Brgy. San Francisco (Poblacion), Brgy. New Visayas, Duterte Street, Arguelles Street, Quirino Extension, Tadeco Road, and nearby areas.
Meanwhile, the normalization or return of loads to their normal set-up will be for another 45 minutes anytime between 6:00 a.m. to 7:00 a.m. on Sunday, August 10. Specifically affected are those from Carmen area, from Sto. Nino Elementary School going to Tuganay, portions of Panabo Wharf from Metrobank going to Tadeco Road up to Nanyo, and those along Maharlika Highway from Panabo Central Elem School to corner Bangoy Street, including Brgy, Sto Nino Panabo and Rivera Medical Center.
Lastly, a 30-minute normalization activity will be conducted anytime between 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 10, to facilitate substation works at Calinan Substation. Customers from Lamanan, Calinan to the entire Inayangan area will experience this service disruption.
Davao Light apologizes for the inconvenience brought about by these scheduled power interruptions. But it will exert all efforts to restore electric service as scheduled or earlier. However, there may be instances where restoration may extend beyond the schedule due to unavoidable circumstances.
