Davao Light and Power Co., Inc. (Davao Light) will conduct switching power interruptions on Thursday and Sunday, August 28 and 31, in different parts of Davao City.

The first switching power interruption is necessary to relocate poles along the DPWH Maa Flyover Project. To avoid a longer power interruption, the loads from the affected lines will be transferred to a nearby substation for 2 hours anytime between 2:00 a.m. to 4:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 28.

Specifically affected are those from the entire Buhangin up to Indangan, Acacia to Panacan Diversion, and nearby areas, and the entire Panacan, Lanang, and R. Castillo, Agdao.

The second set of switching power interruptions is necessary to conduct the third phase of line upgrading works along Panorama-Tigatto Road. The loads from the affected lines will be transferred for 45 minutes anytime between 1:00 a.m. to 2:00 a.m. on Sunday, August 31. Meanwhile, the normalization or return of loads to their normal set-up will be for another 45 minutes anytime between 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. on the same day.

Customers from the corner of Tigatto Road entrance to Juliville Subdivision, including Victors Valley, from Lapanday Mandug going to Callawa, including DDF Mandug, Fatima Mandug, from Palos Verdes to Ciudades, and up to portions of Acacia will be affected by these service disruptions.

In connection, an eight-hour power interruption will be conducted from 1:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. on Sunday, August 31, to facilitate the line upgrading in the area. Specifically affected are customers from 796 Mandug Road after DMMA along Panorama to Ciudades Business Park, including Victors Estate, Tigatto proper, Sitio Uyanguren, portions of Waan area, Alta Monte Estate, Narra Park, Deca Homes Esperanza, Las Palmas Verdes, and nearby areas.

Davao Light apologizes for the inconvenience caused by these scheduled power interruptions. But it will exert all efforts to restore electric service as scheduled or earlier. However, there may be instances where restoration may extend beyond the schedule due to unavoidable circumstances.

Safety is paramount to the company, and Davao Light reminds the public to always take extra precautions when passing by activity areas where line repairs and maintenance are being done. Please heed and follow warning signs, especially in areas where personnel operate heavy equipment.

Please contact our 24/7 Customer Contact Service at (082) 229 3572 or 0919 056 3572 for any power interruption that will fall outside the given schedule.
