Switching power interruptions on August 23 to 25 in the Cities of Davao and Panabo

Davao Light and Power Co., Inc. (Davao Light) will conduct a series of switching power interruptions on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday, August 23, 24, and 25, 2025, in the Cities of Davao and Panabo.
The first set of switching power interruptions is necessary to conduct civil works at the Pampanga Substation and facilitate the isolation of the 69kV line along Insular Village. To avoid a longer power interruption, the loads from the affected lines will be transferred to a nearby substation for 45 minutes anytime between 1:00 a.m. to 2:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 23. Meanwhile, the normalization or return of loads to their normal set-up will be for another 45 minutes anytime between 1:00 a.m. to 2:00 a.m. on Monday, August 25.
Specifically affected are those from the entire Pampanga area, from portions of Lanang at Azuela Cove going to DPWH Panacan, Sasa, and nearby areas.
The second set of switching power interruptions is necessary to conduct line works at DAPACOR. The loads from the affected lines will be transferred for 45 minutes anytime between 12:00 a.m. to 1:00 a.m. on Sunday, August 24. Meanwhile, the normalization or return of loads to their normal set-up will be for another 45 minutes anytime between 6:00 a.m. to 7:00 a.m. on the same day.
Customers from Tadeco Central going to Tagum-Panabo Circumferential Road (Tadeco Road) up to Nanyo National High School, Dapacor, and Tadeco Central will be affected by this service disruption.
The third set of switching power interruptions is necessary to facilitate substation works at Ecoland Substation and conduct line clearing along Acacia Street, Juna Subdivision. The loads from the affected lines will be transferred to a nearby substation for 45 minutes anytime between 1:00 a.m. to 2:00 a.m. on Sunday, August 24. Meanwhile, the normalization or return of loads to their normal set-up will be for another 45 minutes anytime between 6:00 a.m. to 7:00 a.m. on the same day.
Specifically affected are those from Quirino Avenue to portions of Pelayo Street, Camus Street to portions of San Pedro Extension and Pichon Street up to MTS McArthur Highway including portions of SIR New Matina and nearby areas, and those from Juna Subdivision up to Bolton Bridge; Acacia Street up to Ateneo Grade School and nearby areas.
In connection, a five-hour power interruption will be conducted from 1:00 a.m. to 6:00 a.m. on Sunday, August 24 affecting customers from Petron along corner Acacia Street and Quimpo Boulevard to World Palace including portions of Luisa Street.
Lastly, a switching power interruption will be conducted to facilitate the installation of steel poles for Pampanga Substation. This will be for one-hour anytime between 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Monday, August 25. Specifically affected are customers from Mercury Drug Sasa, up to corner DPWH Panacan, including Km 10 to Km 13 Sasa areas; Pampanga areas from Hizon Elementary School, Pampanga Executive Homes, Nova Tierra, Fortune Homes, Insular Village, Caltex Lanang, and nearby areas.
Davao Light apologizes for the inconvenience brought about by these scheduled power interruptions. But it will exert all efforts to restore electric service as scheduled or earlier. However, there may be instances where restoration may extend beyond the schedule due to unavoidable circumstances.
