Scheduled power interruptions on August 7 in different parts of Davao City

Davao Light and Power Co., Inc. (Davao Light) will conduct a series of power interruptions on Thursday, August 7, 2025, in different parts of Davao City.
The first set of power interruptions is necessary to conduct line and vegetation clearing along Guerrero Street and facilitate the normalization of Ponciano Substation. To avoid a longer power interruption, the loads from the affected lines will be transferred to a nearby substation for 45 minutes anytime between 1:00 a.m. to 2:30 a.m..
Specifically affected are those from Mabini Street to parts of Circumferential Road – from parts of Magallanes Street to the corner of Bacaca Road, including Central Bank, Davao Doctors Hospital, Limso Hospital, Brokenshire Hospital, and DMSF; from Jacinto Street UnionBank going to J. Luna Street, including J. Dela Cruz Street; and from Land Bank R. Magsaysay Branch to Bohol Trading.
Customers from Obrero areas, from Lacson Street to Cervantes Street to Nicacio Torres Street, Nidea Street, Sobrecarey Street, parts of Loyola Street up to Central Convenience Store N. Torres, and from F. Torres Street going to Nissan Bajada, including the entire E. Jacinto Extension, will also experience this service disruption.
Also affected are those from parts of Mabini Street to portions of F. Torres Street, from DCNHS, including J. Camus Extension to portions of Marfori up to Maa Bypass Road and Riverview Road; San Pedro Hospital; Buhangin areas from Camella Northpoint up to Orange Grove Hotel; from Gaisano Substation to parts of J.P. Laurel Avenue to Bacaca Road, parts of Diversion Road up until the corner entrance to Jade Valley and Buhangin, Diversion Road Earth Grain Inc..
In connection, a five-hour power interruption will be conducted from 1:30 a.m. to 6:30 a.m., affecting customers from the PRU Life UK corner Guerrero Street and J. Luna Street, going to Guerrero Street and portions of J. Luna Street, and Suazo Street, including Chavez Street.
Meanwhile, the normalization or return of loads to their normal setup will be for another 45 minutes anytime between 6:00 a.m. to 7:00 a.m., affecting customers from Jacinto Street UnionBank going to J. Luna Street, including J. Dela Cruz Street; and from Land Bank R. Magsaysay Branch to Bohol Trading.
Lastly, a nine-hour power interruption will be conducted from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. to facilitate line works in Gumalang, Kibalang, and Lacson, Calinan. Specifically affected are customers from Lacson, Calinan to Buda, Marilog area, including Gumalang, Suawan, and Tamugan.
Davao Light apologizes for the inconvenience brought about by these scheduled power interruptions. But it will exert all efforts to restore electric service as scheduled or earlier. However, there may be instances where restoration may extend beyond the schedule due to unavoidable circumstances.
