Power interruptions on June 15 in Davao City and Davao del Norte

Davao Light and Power Co., Inc. (Davao Light) will conduct a series of power interruptions on Sunday, June 15, affecting customers in Davao City and Davao del Norte. These are necessary to facilitate the 138kV line reconfiguration at Don Ramon Substation.
To avoid a longer power interruption, the loads from the affected lines will be transferred to a nearby substation for 1 hour anytime between 12:00 a.m. to 2:00 a.m.. Specifically affected are those from Buhangin Substation to crossing Diversion Road, going along Jehovah's Witnesses Assembly Hall, then to Buhangin Memorial up to crossing Milan opposite Gaisano Grand Citygate, the entire Cabantian, and portions of Indangan.
Also affected are those from Daang Maharlika Highway LPU Campus and the entire Panacan to Tibungco Public Market, including Malagamot Road, Davao Mighty Steel Corp, and from Tibungco Public Market to Bunawan Proper, including Eliong Road.
A second set of load transfer will be conducted for 1 hour anytime between 1:30 a.m. to 3:00 a.m. on the same day. Meanwhile, the normalization or return of loads to their normal set-up will be for another 1 hour anytime between 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m..
Specifically affected are customers from portions of Daang Maharlika Highway in Panabo from SeaOil near the crossing of San Isidro Street to Cabaluna and Quirino Streets.
Also affected are those from Tadeco Road to the new Malitbog and Tadeco Substation, including Manay Road, Alejal Road, Biopulp Carmen, La Libertad Road, and Tadeco Central, and from Sto. Tomas Substation to Sto. Tomas proper, including Kinawayan, Katipunan, Luna, and MARSMAN.
Customers from Maryknoll Panabo to Tadeco Road up to Nanyo; Daang Maharlika Highway from the corner of Tadeco Road to Carmen up to Sto. Nino Elementary School, Carmen, including Panabo Wharf Road, Davao International Container Terminal Inc., and those from Bunawan proper to J.P. Laurel Panabo, including Piatos, Bosque, and Mahayag, Bunawan, will also be affected by these switching power interruptions.
Another normalization activity will be conducted for 1 hour, anytime between 7:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m., affecting customers from the Tibungco Public Market to Bunawan Proper, including Eliong Road, Holcim Philippines Inc. Davao Plant, Steel Asia Manufacturing Corp., and Davao Mighty Steel Corp.
Lastly, an 8-hour power interruption will be conducted for the line works from 12:01 a.m. to 8:00 a.m., affecting customers from McMai to NGCP Bunawan Substation to San Miguel Elementary School, Purok 7, and neighboring areas in Brgy. San Isidro, Bunawan.
Davao Light apologizes for the inconvenience brought about by these scheduled power interruptions. But it will exert all efforts to restore electric service as scheduled or earlier. However, there may be instances where restoration may extend beyond the schedule due to unavoidable circumstances.
