Emergency power interruptions on May 9 in the southern part of Davao City

Davao Light and Power Co., Inc. (Davao Light) will conduct emergency switching power interruptions on Friday, May 9, 2025, affecting customers in the southern part of Davao City. These are necessary to facilitate substation works at Dumoy Substation.
To avoid a longer power interruption, the loads from the affected lines will be transferred to a nearby substation for 30 minutes anytime between 1:00 a.m. to 2:00 a.m.. Specifically affected are those from Toril Substation going to the Carabao statue near Gaisano Grand Toril, to Bayabas Eden Road, the entire Dumoy area to Daliao Toril, including Vales Beach, and going to Libby Road, Toril Memorial via Bago Aplaya Road, and nearby areas.
Also affected are those from Puan Substation to Harvey's Kambingan and J-15 Japan Surplus in Davao-Digos Road.
Meanwhile, the normalization or return of loads to their normal set-up will be for another 30 minutes anytime between 4:00 a.m. to 5:00 a.m.. Specifically affected are customers from Dumoy Substation going to Harvey's Kambingan Eatery, Libby Road, Toril Memorial via Bago Aplaya Road, and to D'Garden.
Davao Light apologizes for the inconvenience brought about by these emergency switching power interruptions. But it will exert all efforts to restore electric service as scheduled or earlier. However, there may be instances where restoration may extend beyond the schedule due to unavoidable circumstances.
