8-hour power interruption on February 22 in Downtown, Davao City

Davao Light and Power Co., Inc. (Davao Light) will conduct an 8-hour power interruption on Sunday, February 22, 2026, in downtown Davao City. These are necessary to conduct power cable testing for underground cabling along Aldevinco and to facilitate pole relocation at the Aurora-Mabini-Bonifacio Street junction.
This will be conducted from 4:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., affecting customers in portions of J. Palma Gil Street from CocoGen Insurance to Humbertos Hotel and portions of Padre Gomez Street; portions of C. M. Recto Street from RCBC going to Marco Polo Hotel, including Hotel Uno, Avida Towers, Mindanao Souvenir Center, Imperial Hotel, BDO C. M. Recto, and nearby areas.
Also affected are those in portions of Bonifacio Street from Jaltan Bldg. up to Brgy. 36-D Multi-purpose Bldg. along the Aurora-Mabini-Bonifacio Street junction, including UIC Bonifacio and nearby areas.
Davao Light apologizes for the inconvenience caused by this scheduled power interruption. But it will exert all efforts to restore electric service as scheduled or earlier. However, there may be instances where restoration may extend beyond the schedule due to unavoidable circumstances.
