Switching power interruptions on September 6 and 7 in the Cities of Davao and Panabo

Davao Light and Power Co., Inc. (Davao Light) will conduct switching power interruptions on Sunday and Monday, September 6 and 7, 2026, affecting some parts of Davao City and Panabo City. 

The first switching power interruption is necessary to facilitate substation works at San Pedro Substation. This will be for 45 minutes at any time between 5:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m. on Sunday, September 6, affecting customers in the Panabo Wharf area, from Petron Gas Station to Anflo Industrial Estate, Stanfilco Wharf, Panabo Coast Guard, to Ornels Sea Foods and nearby areas.

The last set of switching power interruptions is necessary to implement substation works at Lanang Substation. To avoid a longer power interruption, the loads from the affected lines will be transferred to a nearby substation for 45 minutes at any time between 12:01 a.m. and 2:00 a.m. on Sunday, September 6. Meanwhile, the normalization or return of loads to their normal setup will be conducted for 45 minutes at any time between 12:01 a.m. and 2:00 a.m. on Monday, September 7. 

Specifically affected are customers from Bioessence to Circumferential Road, Bacaca, DMSF, Abreeza, and nearby areas; a portion of J. P. Laurel Avenue in Lanang, crossing Arroyo Street up to Shell opposite Davao Light Bajada Substation, and nearby areas; and a portion of J. P. Laurel Avenue in Lanang, crossing Arroyo Street up to DOH XI near SPMC, including SM Lanang, and nearby areas.

Meanwhile, customers in S. P. Dacudao Loop, Lanang Doctors Hospital, and nearby areas will experience only the 45-minute schedule for transfer of loads on Monday, September 7, at any time between 12:01 a.m. and 2:00 a.m.

To facilitate the necessary works, an 8-hour power interruption will be implemented from 12:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. on Sunday, September 6, affecting customers from the crossing of Damosa to Jetti Gas, opposite SM Lanang, and nearby areas.

Further, another 45-minute normalization activity will be conducted at any time between 8:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m. on Sunday, September 6, affecting a portion of J. P. Laurel Avenue in Lanang, crossing Arroyo Street up to Jetti Gas opposite SM Lanang, and nearby areas.

A 45-minute normalization will also be implemented at any time between 10:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. on Sunday, September 6. Customers from SP Dacudao Loop going to SM Lanang and nearby areas will be affected by this service disruption.

Davao Light apologizes for the inconvenience caused by these scheduled power interruptions. But it will exert all efforts to restore electric service as scheduled or earlier. However, there may be instances where restoration may extend beyond the schedule due to unavoidable circumstances.
