Davao Light and Power Co., Inc. (Davao Light) will conduct switching power interruptions on Sunday and Tuesday, September 20 and 22, 2026, affecting some parts of Davao City and Davao del Norte.

The first set of switching power interruptions is necessary to facilitate line and pole works in Cabantian, Davao City. To avoid a longer power interruption, the loads from the affected lines will be transferred to a nearby substation for 45 minutes at any time between 6:00 a.m. and 7:00 a.m. on Sunday, September 20. Meanwhile, the normalization or return of loads to their normal setup will be conducted for 45 minutes at any time between 11:00 a.m. and 12:01 p.m. on the same day.

Specifically affected are customers along Mandug Road from Lapanday Box Plant to Callawa, including Palos Verdes and nearby areas; along Cabantian-Indangan-Bunawan Road from near crossing Malagamot Road to crossing Eliong in Acacia, and nearby areas.

To facilitate the necessary works, a 5-hour power interruption will be implemented from 6:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Sunday, September 20, affecting customers from Palawan Pawnshop at AGK Building, Country Homes, to Central 911 Cabantian, and nearby areas.

In connection, an 8-hour power outage will also be implemented on the same day from 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., affecting customers in portions of Deca Cabantian, Emily Homes, and Country Homes near Cabantian-Indangan Road; and customers around NCCC Cabantian near Cabantian-Indangan Road; and those fronting City Mall along Cabantian-Indangan Road.

Lastly, a 1-hour power interruption will be implemented on Tuesday, September 22, any time between 1:00 a.m. and 3:00 a.m., affecting customers in Davao City and Davao del Norte. This is necessary to facilitate the normalization of the DRA 69 kV line. Specifically affected are those from Tadeco Road to new Malitbog and Tadeco Substation, including Manay Road, Alejal Road, Biopulp Carmen, La Libertad Road, and TADECO Central; from Sto Tomas Substation to Sto Tomas proper, including Kinamayan, Katipunan, Luna, Dujali, a portion of Kapalong, and Marsman.

Also affected are customers in the entire Bunawan to Bunawan Shell, including Mahayag, Gatungan, Bosque, Piatos, Lasang, Licanan, and nearby areas.

Davao Light apologizes for the inconvenience caused by these scheduled power interruptions. But it will exert all efforts to restore electric service as scheduled or earlier. However, there may be instances where restoration may extend beyond the schedule due to unavoidable circumstances.
