Switching power interruptions on November 27 in the Cities of Davao and Panabo

Davao Light and Power Co., Inc. (Davao Light) will conduct switching power interruptions on Thursday, November 27, 2025, in different parts of Davao City and Panabo City.
The first set of switching power interruptions is necessary to facilitate line works at R. Castillo Substation. To avoid a longer power interruption, the loads from the affected lines will be transferred to a nearby substation for 1 hour starting anytime between 12:00 a.m. to 1:00 a.m.. Meanwhile, the normalization or return of loads to their normal setup will be conducted for 1 hour starting anytime between 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m..
Specifically affected are those from the corner of Arroyo Street, R. Castillo Road to the SIDC Entrance, Daruma Industries Bldg., including Azuela Cove and nearby areas.
The second set of switching power interruptions is necessary to facilitate line works at the Bunawan Substation. The loads will be transferred to a nearby substation for 45 minutes anytime between 1:00 a.m. to 2:00 a.m.. Meanwhile, the return of loads will be conducted for 45 minutes anytime between 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m..
Customers from Bunawan overpass up to the Lasang overpass and nearby areas will be affected by these service disruptions.
To facilitate the necessary works, an 8-hour power outage will also be conducted from 1:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m., affecting customers in portions of Daang Maharlika Highway in Panabo from Panabo City Hall up to Emcor Panabo, from Lasang overpass to J.P. Laurel Panabo, and nearby areas.
Davao Light apologizes for the inconvenience caused by these scheduled power interruptions. But it will exert all efforts to restore electric service as scheduled or earlier. However, there may be instances where restoration may extend beyond the schedule due to unavoidable circumstances.
Safety is paramount to the company, and Davao Light reminds the public to always take extra precautions when passing by activity areas where line repairs and maintenance are being done. Please heed and follow warning signs, especially in areas where personnel operate heavy equipment.
