Switching power interruptions on November 15, 16, and 17 in different parts of Davao City and Davao del Norte

This advisory has been updated on November 15, reflecting changes to the third set of switching power interruptions. A separate advisory is posted reflecting changes to the scheduled power interruption.
Davao Light and Power Co., Inc. (Davao Light) will conduct switching power interruptions on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday, November 15, 16, and 17, 2025, in different parts of Davao City and Davao del Norte.
The first switching power interruption is necessary to facilitate the primary line transfer and pole relocation for the Maa Flyover Project. To avoid a longer power interruption, the loads from the affected lines will be transferred to a nearby substation for 30 minutes anytime between 11:00 p.m. to 11:59 p.m. on Saturday, November 15. Meanwhile, the normalization or return of loads to their normal setup will be conducted for 30 minutes anytime between 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. on Sunday, November 16.
Specifically affected are those along Maa Road from Davao Light substation to the crossing of Diversion Road.
To facilitate the necessary works, an 8-hour power interruption will also be conducted from 11:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 15 to 7:00 a.m. on Sunday, November 16. Customers from portions of Diversion Road crossing Maa along Maa Flyover up to Magtuod and Waan areas, portions of Langub, including Monteritz, will be affected by this service disruption.
The second power interruption is necessary to facilitate DPWH works in Alejal, in the Municipality of Carmen, Davao del Norte. To ensure safety, an 8-hour power interruption will be conducted from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 16.
Specifically affected are those from portions of Panabo City along Panabo-Tadeco Road, from the crossing of DAPACOR to Sto. Tomas, the entire Municipalities of Sto. Tomas and Braulio E. Dujali, including Marsman, portions of Carmen along Sto. Tomas-Carmen Road from Triplex up to Tuganay, including barangays Alejal, Tubod, New Camiling, Tuganay, Ising, and nearby areas.
Lastly, a switching power interruption will be conducted to facilitate substation works at P. Reyes Substation. The loads from the affected lines will be transferred to a nearby substation for 45 minutes anytime between 1:00 a.m. to 3:00 a.m. on Monday, November 17.
Specifically affected are those from the corner of Gempesaw Street and Ramon Magsaysay Avenue to Leon Garcia Street, from Soliman Street, Agdao to portions of F. Bangoy Street up to N. Torres Street, Obrero, Sta. Ana Avenue to Lizada Street, Quezon Boulevard to Bolton Bridge, including Bucana, City Hall, and SP Building, portions of Pichon Street and Bolton Extension, and neighboring areas.
Customers from C. Bangoy St. Street to San Pedro Street, Rizal Street, and portions of Pelayo Street, from Davao Light Ponciano Office to C. Bangoy Sr. Street to Bonifacio Street, and portions of C.M. Recto Street from San Pedro Cathedral to RCBC Claveria, including Palma Gil Street will be affected by this switching power interruption.
Also affected are those from A. Pichon Street from Bonifacio Monument near Colasas Barbeque going to Wisons Shopping Center, including Bolton Extension, SP Building, City Hall, and nearby areas, from Qurino Avenue to Bankerohan areas, including Fr. Selga Street, San Pedro Extension, and portions of A. Pichon Street from Quirino Avenue to WS Shopping Center, and portions of Sandawa, New Matina areas up to MTS.
Those from Tulip Drive going to McArthur Highway up to MTS, portions of J.P. Laurel Avenue from GMall to portions of Quirino Avenue up to Penongs Mabini, and portions of Sta. Ana Avenue will also experience this service disruption.
To facilitate the necessary works, a 1-hour power outage will be conducted anytime between 1:30 a.m. to 3:00 a.m. on Monday, November 17. Specifically affected are those from parts of Mabini Street to portions of F. Torres Street from DCNHS, including J. Camus Extension up to portions of Marfori to Maa Bypass Road and Riverview Road.
Also affected are those from portions of Quirino Avenue to Gov. Duterte Street, Ilustre Street, portions of Pelayo Street, and McArthur Highway up to ADDU Grade School.
Meanwhile, the normalization will be conducted for 45 minutes anytime between 1:00 a.m. to 3:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 18, affecting customers from Qurino Avenue to Bankerohan areas, including Fr. Selga Street, San Pedro Extension, and portions of A. Pichon Street from Quirino Avenue to WS Shopping Center, and portions of Sandawa, New Matina areas up to MTS.
Also affected are those from Tulip Drive to McArthur Highway up to MTS, from C. Bangoy Street going to San Pedro Street, Rizal Street, and portions of Pelayo Street and J.P. Laurel Avenue from GMall to portions of Quirino Avenue up to Penongs Mabini and portions of Sta Ana Avenue.
Customers from portions of Quirino Avenue going to Gov. Duterte Street, Ilustre Street, portions of Pelayo Street, J. Camus Extension, McArthur Highway up to ADDU Grade School, from Davao Light Ponciano Office to C. Bangoy Sr. Street up to Bonifacio Street, and portions of C.M. Recto Street from San Pedro Cathedral going to RCBC Claveria, including Palma Gil Street, A. Pichon Street, from Bonifacio Monument near Colasas Barbeque going to Wisons Shopping Center, including Bolton Extension, SP Building, City Hall, and nearby areas, will also be affected by this power interruption.
Davao Light apologizes for the inconvenience caused by these scheduled power interruptions. But it will exert all efforts to restore electric service as scheduled or earlier. However, there may be instances where restoration may extend beyond the schedule due to unavoidable circumstances.
