Switching power interruptions on May 30, 31, and June 1 in Davao and Panabo

Davao Light and Power Co., Inc. (Davao Light) will conduct switching power interruptions on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday, May 30, 31, and June 1, 2026, affecting different parts of the Cities of Davao and Panabo.
The first set of switching power interruptions is necessary to facilitate line works at Buhangin Substation. To avoid a longer power interruption, the loads from the affected lines will be transferred to a nearby substation for 45 minutes any time between 10:00 p.m. and 11:59 p.m. on Saturday, May 30. Meanwhile, the normalization or return of loads to their normal setup will be conducted for 45 minutes any time between 6:00 a.m. and 8:00 a.m. on Sunday, May 31.
Specifically affected are customers along Mandug Road from Lapanday Box Plant to Callawa, including Palos Verdes and nearby areas, along Cabantian-Indangan-Bunawan Road from near the crossing of Malagamot Road to the crossing of Eliong in Acacia and nearby areas.
To facilitate the necessary works, an 8-hour power interruption will be conducted from 10:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 30, to 6:00 a.m. on Sunday, May 31, affecting customers along Cabantian-Indangan-Bunawan Road from Ciudades Entrance to near the crossing of Malagamot Road, including Millenium Village, Villa Allevida, Purok Birhen sa Lourdes, Gravador Village, Purok Sta Cruz, and nearby areas.
Also affected are customers along Malagamot Road from Rose Bakeshop up to Palm Ridge Day Care Center.
The second set of switching power interruptions is necessary to facilitate preventive maintenance at Bunawan Substation. To avoid a longer power interruption, the loads from the affected lines will be transferred to a nearby substation for 45 minutes any time between 12:01 a.m. and 2:00 a.m. on Sunday, May 31. Meanwhile, the normalization or return of loads to their normal setup will be conducted for 45 minutes any time between 1:00 a.m. and 3:00 a.m. on Monday, June 1.
Specifically affected are customers along Daang Maharlika National Highway from Sumifru in Tibungco, Davao City, up to Panabo Central Elementary School in Panabo City, including portions of Tibungco, Bunawan, and Lasang in Davao City; and Panabo City Hall, and portions of J. P. Laurel Avenue, Gredu, Sto. Nino, and San Francisco in Panabo City, and nearby areas.
Also affected are those along Cabantian-Bunawan Road up to Mahayag, including Bosque, San Isidro, Piatos, portions of Licanan, and nearby areas.
Davao Light apologizes for the inconvenience caused by these scheduled power interruptions. But it will exert all efforts to restore electric service as scheduled or earlier. However, there may be instances where restoration may extend beyond the schedule due to unavoidable circumstances.
