Switching power interruptions on May 26 in IGACOS

Davao Light and Power Co., Inc. (Davao Light) will conduct switching power interruptions on Tuesday, May 26, 2026, affecting the Island Garden City of Samal (IGACOS). These are necessary to facilitate repair works at the Phil-Power Plant.
To avoid a longer power interruption, the loads from the affected lines will be transferred to a nearby substation for 1 hour any time between 12:00 a.m. and 2:00 a.m. Meanwhile, the normalization or return of loads to their normal setup will be conducted for 1 hour starting any time between 8:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m.
Specifically affected are customers along Mambago-B Road from Kinawitnon Rotunda to Java Concepts in Peñaplata Area; along Samal Circumferential Road from crossing Peñaplata to Amaranta, including San Miguel, Catagman, Limao, and nearby areas, and those along Peñaplata-Tagbitan-ag Road up to Aundanao, including Licup, Tagbitan-ag, and nearby areas.
To facilitate the necessary works, an 8-hour power interruption will be conducted from 12:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m., affecting customers along Babak-Kaputian Road from Samal MGC Plant to the crossing of Babak in Miranda, including Toril, San Agustin, and Mambago-A, and nearby areas.
Also affected are customers along Babak-Kaputian Road from MGC Plant to Kaputian Area, including Peñaplata Center, Samal City Hall, Mambago-A, Del Monte, Anonang, San Isidro (Kaputian), Kaputian Center, San Remigio, Pangubatan, Kanaan, Guilon, Tagpopongan, Sion, Tagbaobao, Aumbay, and nearby areas.
Davao Light apologizes for the inconvenience caused by these scheduled power interruptions. But it will exert all efforts to restore electric service as scheduled or earlier. However, there may be instances where restoration may extend beyond the schedule due to unavoidable circumstances.
