Switching power interruptions on May 1 and 4 in Davao City

Davao Light and Power Co., Inc. (Davao Light) will conduct switching power interruptions on Friday and Monday, May 1 and 4, 2026, affecting different parts of Davao City. These are necessary to facilitate substation works at Bajada and ERA Substations and pole relocation along Cabaguio Street.
To avoid a longer power interruption, the loads from the affected lines will be transferred to a nearby substation for 45 minutes any time between 1:00 a.m. and 4:00 a.m. on Friday, May 1.
Specifically affected are customers from Davao Light Ponciano Office going to C. Bangoy Street up to Bonifacio Street, and portions of C. M. Recto Street from San Pedro Cathedral going to RCBC Claveria, including Palma Gil Street; from Quirino Avenue going to Bankerohan area, including Fr. Selga Street, San Pedro Extension, Camus Extension, portions of A. Pichon Street from Quirino Avenue to WS Shopping Center; portions of Quirino Avenue going to Gov. Duterte Street, Ilustre Street, portions of Pelayo Street, McArthur Highway up to crossing Tulip Drive, including Sandawa, New Matina, portion of Ecoland, portion of crossing Maa Road, and portion of Tulip Drive up to Davao Light Substation, and nearby areas.
Also affected are those from Davao Light Ponciano Office going to DPWH Office on Magsaysay Avenue, including crossing Acacia, Vivaldi, portions of E. Jacinto Street, Juna Luna Street, Guerrero Street, Chavez Street, J. Dela Cruz Street, and Suazo Street, portion of J. P. Laurel Avenue from crossing Acacia up to Gaisano Mall of Davao; and those from parts of Mabini Street going to portions of F. Torres St. from DCNHS including J. Camus Ext. up to portions of Marfori up to Maa Bypass Road and Riverview Road.
Customers from Davao Light Ponciano up to crossing F. Torres Street along C. Bangoy Street and E. Jacinto Extension, including portions of F. Torres Street up to DepEd RXI up to crossing J. P. Laurel Avenue; from Sta. Ana Avenue going to Bruno Gempesaw Street and Monteverde up to Villa Abrille Street; portions of Lizada Street, F. Bangoy Street up to Leon Garcia Street fronting AISAT and nearby areas; from Sta. Ana Avenue going to Gempesaw Street up to the entire Boulevard area up to Bolton Bridge and nearby areas; from Sta. Ana Avenue going to crossing N. Torres Street in Agdao along Bangoy Street, and along Quezon Boulevard from crossing Bruno Gempesaw Street up to near LTO Regional Office XI, including Colasas, areas surrounding City Hall, and nearby areas, will also be affected by this service disruption.
Also affected are those from the entire Pampanga area from portions of Lanang at Azuela Cove going to DPWH Panacan, including entire Sasa, and nearby areas; portion of J. P. Laurel Avenue from crossing Bacaca Road up to Davao Light Bajada Substation, including Circumferential Road up to Bioessence, DMSF, Abreeza, and nearby areas; along Buhangin Lapanday Road from flyover up to Samulco Office, including Camella and nearby areas; portion of J. P. Laurel Avenue in Lanang crossing Arroyo Street up to Shell near SPMC, including SM Lanang and nearby areas, and portion of Cabaguio Street from 7-Eleven Cabaguio up to Metropolis Suites.
To facilitate the necessary works, a 2-hour power outage will be conducted on the same day, any time between 1:00 a.m. and 4:00 a.m., affecting customers in the portion of J. P. Laurel Avenue from Davao Light Bajada Substation up to Mcdo near SPMC, including MDMRC, SPMC complex, and nearby areas.
Further, an 8-hour power interruption will be conducted on the same day from 1:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m., affecting customers from a portion of J. P. Laurel Avenue (Bajada) from Davao Light Bajada up to Shell near SPMC; along Cabaguio Street from the crossing of SPMC up to Metropolis Suites.
Meanwhile, the normalization or return of loads to the normal setup will be conducted for 30 minutes any time between 9:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. on the same day. Specifically affected are customers from a portion of J. P. Laurel Avenue in Lanang crossing Arroyo Street up to Shell near SPMC, and a portion of Cabaguio Street from 7-Eleven Cabaguio up to Metropolis Suites.
Lastly, a 45-minute normalization will also be conducted on Monday, May 4, any time between 1:00 a.m. and 4:00 a.m., affecting customers from C. Bangoy Street going to San Pedro Street, Rizal Street, and portions of Pelayo Street. Also affected are customers from portions of Quirino Avenue going to Gov. Duterte Street, Ilustre Street, portions of Pelayo Street, McArthur Highway up to ADDU Grade School, including Sandawa, New Matina, and nearby areas.
Customers from Davao Light Ponciano Office going to C. Bangoy Street up to Bonifacio Street and portions of C. M. Recto Street from San Pedro Cathedral going to RCBC Claveria, including Palma Gil Street; from Quirino Avenue going to Bankerohan area, including Fr. Davao Light apologizes for the inconvenience caused by these scheduled power interruptions. But it will exert all efforts to restore electric service as scheduled or earlier. However, there may be instances where restoration may extend beyond the schedule due to unavoidable circumstances.
