Switching power interruptions on March 5 in Davao City

Davao Light and Power Co., Inc. (Davao Light) will conduct switching power interruptions on Thursday, March 5, 2026, in different parts of Davao City.
The first set of switching power interruptions is necessary to facilitate 13.8 kilovolt (kV) line works along the Samal Island-Davao City Connector (SIDC) project, Lizada Street.
To avoid a longer power interruption, the loads from the affected lines will be transferred to a nearby substation for 30 minutes anytime between 6:00 a.m. and 7:00 a.m. Meanwhile, the normalization or return of loads to their normal setup will be conducted for 30 minutes anytime between 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m.
Specifically affected are customers from the corner of Arroyo Street, R. Castillo Road, going to the SIDC entrance, including Azuela Cove and nearby areas.
To facilitate the necessary works, a 7-hour power interruption will be conducted from 6:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., affecting customers from the corner of Azuela to the SIDC Bridge Project, Lizada Street.
A separate switching power interruption will also be conducted in the southern part of Davao City to facilitate preventive maintenance works at the Dumoy Substation.
The transfer of loads will be conducted for 30 minutes anytime between 12:00 a.m. and 1:30 a.m., affecting customers from Puan to the Ulas Viaduct, to Bambu Estate, Catalunan Pequeño to Mintal, and nearby areas.
Also affected are those from Bangkal Substation, Diversion Road to Ulas Police Station, Brgy. Talomo area along Jay Ortiz Road and its nearby areas, including Coca-Cola Bottlers Philippines.
Customers from Bangkal Diversion Road to Davao-Cotabato Road, corner Talomo Road to Libby Road up to the South Pacific Estates, including DCWD Talomo Sump and Treatment Plant, will also experience this service disruption.
Those from portions of Central Park Bangkal, Taal Road, up to Cordillera Street Relief Bridge will also be affected.
Lastly, customers in Toril, from Bato, Eden Bayabas, and nearby areas, the entire Dumoy area going to Daliao Toril, including Vales Beach, going to Libby road Toril Memorial via Bago Aplaya road; and nearby areas, will also be affected by this scheduled power outage.
Davao Light apologizes for the inconvenience caused by these scheduled power interruptions. But it will exert all efforts to restore electric service as scheduled or earlier. However, there may be instances where restoration may extend beyond the schedule due to unavoidable circumstances.
