Switching power interruptions on March 22 in Davao City

Davao Light and Power Co., Inc. (Davao Light) will conduct switching power interruptions on Sunday, March 22, 2026, in Davao City.

The first set of switching power interruptions is necessary to facilitate pole relocation along Cabantian Road. To avoid a longer power interruption, the loads from the affected lines will be transferred to a nearby substation for 30 minutes anytime between 12:00 a.m. and 1:00 a.m. Meanwhile, the normalization or return of loads to their normal setup will be conducted for 30 minutes anytime between 8:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m.

Specifically affected are customers from Milan Buhangin going to Cabantian Road up to Jehovah's Witnesses Davao Assembly Hall.

To facilitate the necessary works, an 8-hour power interruption will be conducted from 12:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. affecting customers along Cabantian Road from EpiCenter up to Jehovah's Witnesses Davao Assembly Hall including Sand Village, Buhangin Memorial, Villa Park, and nearby areas.

The second set of switching power interruptions is necessary to conduct line works along Eliong, Tibungco Road. The loads will be transferred for 30 minutes anytime between 5:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m. Meanwhile, the normalization will be for 30 minutes anytime between 1:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. 

Customers from Tibungco Public Market up to Buhisan Tibungco, and nearby areas will be affected by these service disruptions.

Lastly, an 8-hour power interruption will be conducted from 5:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., affecting the entire area of Km 18 Crossing Eliong Road, from ValuePlus Pharmacy to Sanitary Care Products Asia Cabantian-Bunawan Road.

Davao Light apologizes for the inconvenience caused by these scheduled power interruptions. But it will exert all efforts to restore electric service as scheduled or earlier. However, there may be instances where restoration may extend beyond the schedule due to unavoidable circumstances.
