Switching power interruptions on March 20 and 24 in Davao City

Davao Light and Power Co., Inc. (Davao Light) will conduct switching power interruptions on Friday and Tuesday, March 20 and 24, 2026, in the northern part of Davao City. These are necessary to facilitate substation works at Panacan Substation and pole replacement along Panacan Diversion Road.


To avoid a longer power interruption, the loads from the affected lines will be transferred to a nearby substation for 30 minutes anytime between 12:00 a.m. and 2:00 a.m. on Friday, March 20.  Specifically affected are those along Panacan Diversion Road from Panacan Public Cemetery going to Camel Appliances; Pampanga areas from Mercury Drug Doña Pilar going to DPWH Panacan; Panacan areas up to Tibungco Public Market, and nearby areas.


Also affected are those along Mamay Road from Davao Light Buhangin Substation going to Roseville Subdivision, Mamay, and nearby areas; from AFPSLAI going to Juanas Kubo North, including Camp Catitipan, KOJC, and F. Bangoy International Airport; from Airport View Hotel going to Sta. Lucia Mall and nearby areas.


Customers in Lanang from portions of N. Arroyo Street going to West Insular Village, including Guadalupe Village and nearby areas; Panacan up to Buhisan, Tibungco, and nearby areas, will also be affected by this power interruption.


To facilitate the necessary works, an 8-hour power interruption will be conducted from 1:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. on the same day, affecting customers from Panacan Diversion Road from Mabuhay Emission Center up to Sea Oil, Panacan.


Meanwhile, the normalization or return of loads to their normal setup will be conducted for 30 minutes anytime between 9:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. on Friday, March 20, affecting customers from Doña Pilar Sasa up to Mabuhay Emission Test Center, Panacan.


Lastly, an additional normalization will be conducted for 30 minutes anytime between 1:00 a.m. and 3:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 24, affecting customers along Daang Maharlika Highway from Panacan Cemetery to Buhisan Tibungco, including Panacan, Mudiang, Ilang, and nearby areas.


Also affected are customers along Panacan Diversion Road from Panacan Public Cemetery going to Camel Appliances; Pampanga area from Mercury Drug Doña Pilar going to DPWH Panacan; Panacan area up to Tibungco Public Market, and nearby areas.


Customers in Lanang from portions of N. Arroyo Street going to West Insular Village, including Guadalupe Village, and nearby areas; from AFPSLAI going to Juanas Kubo North, including Camp Catitipan, KOJC, and F. Bangoy International Airport; from Airport View Hotel going to Sta. Lucia Mall and nearby areas, will also be affected by this service disruption.


Also affected are customers from Buhisan Tibungco up to Rusi Bunawan, including Budbud Bunawan and nearby areas, Mamay Road from Davao Light Buhangin Substation to Roseville Subdivision Mamay, and nearby areas; Cabantian up to Harmony Subdivision, Cabantian, and nearby areas.


Davao Light apologizes for the inconvenience caused by these scheduled power interruptions. But it will exert all efforts to restore electric service as scheduled or earlier. However, there may be instances where restoration may extend beyond the schedule due to unavoidable circumstances.


Safety is paramount to the company, and Davao Light reminds the public to always take extra precautions when passing by activity areas where line repairs and maintenance are being done. Please heed and follow warning signs, especially in areas where personnel operate heavy equipment.
