Switching power interruptions on March 10 and 12 in Davao City

Davao Light and Power Co., Inc. (Davao Light) will conduct switching power interruptions on Tuesday and Thursday, March 10 and 12, 2026, in various parts of Davao City. 


The first switching power interruption is necessary to facilitate the normalization or return of loads to their normal setup following the March 5 preventive maintenance activities at Dumoy Substation. This will be conducted for 30 minutes anytime between 12:00 a.m. and 1:30 a.m. on Tuesday, March 10.


Specifically affected are customers from the entire Dumoy area going to Daliao Toril, including Vales Beach; going to Libby Road Toril Memorial via Bago Aplaya road; and nearby areas; Toril area from Bato, Eden Bayabas, and nearby areas.


Customers from Bangkal Diversion Road to Davao-Cotabato Road, corner Talomo Road to Libby Road up to South Pacific Estates, including DCWD Talomo Sump and Treatment Plant, will also be affected by this service disruption. 


Also affected are those from portions of Central Park Bangkal, Taal Road, up to Cordillera Street Relief Bridge; from Bangkal Substation Diversion Road going to Ulas Police Station; Brgy Talomo areas along Jay Ortiz Road and its nearby areas, including Coca-Cola Bottlers Philippines; Puan area going to Ulas Viaduct up to Bambu Estate, Catalunan Pequeno, and nearby areas.


The second switching power interruption is necessary to facilitate the normalization of Pampanga Substation. This will be conducted for 45 minutes anytime between 2:00 a.m. and 4:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 12.


Specifically affected are customers from the entire Pampanga area, from portions of Lanang at Azuela Cove going to DPWH Panacan, including Sasa and nearby areas; along Mamay Road from Davao Light Substation to crossing Damosa; along J. P. Laurel Avenue from Carmelite Monastery to crossing Arroyo Street in R. Castillo; from Mamay Road going to Cabantian Road up to Harmony Subdivision, including Countryville, Emilia Homes, portions of Country Homes, Emily Homes, Deca Homes Cabantian, and nearby areas.


Also affected are those from Lanang, from portions of N. Arroyo Street going to West Insular Village, including Guadalupe Village and nearby areas; along Daang Maharlika Highway from Panacan Cemetery to Davao Light Don Ramon Substation Bunawan, including Panacan and Tibungco, Mudiang, Ilang, and nearby areas.


Davao Light apologizes for the inconvenience caused by these scheduled power interruptions. But it will exert all efforts to restore electric service as scheduled or earlier. However, there may be instances where restoration may extend beyond the schedule due to unavoidable circumstances.


Safety is paramount to the company, and Davao Light reminds the public to always take extra precautions when passing by activity areas where line repairs and maintenance are being done. Please heed and follow warning signs, especially in areas where personnel operate heavy equipment.
