Switching power interruptions on June 14 and 16 in Davao City

Davao Light and Power Co., Inc. (Davao Light) will conduct a series of switching power interruptions on Sunday and Tuesday, June 14 and 16, 2026, affecting different parts of Davao City.

The first set of switching power interruptions is necessary to facilitate primary line works along Cabaguio Avenue. To avoid a longer power interruption, the loads from the affected lines will be transferred to a nearby substation for 30 minutes at any time between 8:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m. on Sunday, June 14. Meanwhile, the normalization or return of loads to their normal setup will be conducted for 30 minutes at any time between 4:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. on the same day.

Specifically affected are customers in portions of Cabaguio Avenue from BIR Large Taxpayers Division Office, I. Villamor Street, from 7-Eleven up to Porras Elementary School, and Imperial Appliance Center along Agdao Flyover.

To facilitate the necessary works, an 8-hour power interruption will be conducted from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on the same day, affecting customers along Cabaguio Avenue from Oroderm Cabaguio up to BIR Large Taxpayers Division Office.

The second set of switching power interruptions is necessary to facilitate 13.8 kV line works along Ulas Viaduct. The loads will be transferred to a nearby substation for 30 minutes at any time between 12:00 a.m. and 1:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 16. Specifically affected are those from Purok 3, Lower Rapnaga, Bago Bridge, Talomo to Davao-Digos Road corner Davao-Bukidnon Road (Mercury Ulas) up to Bambu Estate, Catalunan Pequeno, and nearby areas; and from Davao Light Bangkal Substation going to Talomo up to Ulas Police Station and going to Talomo-Puan Bypass Road and nearby areas.

To facilitate the necessary works, a 1-hour power interruption will be conducted from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. on the same day, affecting customers from Purok 3, Lower Rapnaga, Bago Bridge, Talomo to Davao-Digos Road up to Mercury corner Davao-Bukidnon Road and nearby areas.

Meanwhile, the normalization will be conducted for 30 minutes at any time between 8:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m. on the same day. Customers affected are those from Davao Light Bangkal Substation going to Talomo up to Ulas Police Station and to Talomo-Puan Bypass Road and nearby areas; and from Ulas Viaduct up to Bambu Estate Catalunan Pequeno.

Davao Light apologizes for the inconvenience caused by these scheduled power interruptions. But it will exert all efforts to restore electric service as scheduled or earlier. However, there may be instances where restoration may extend beyond the schedule due to unavoidable circumstances.
