Switching power interruptions on July 22 in IGACOS

Davao Light and Power Co., Inc. (Davao Light) will conduct switching power interruptions on Wednesday, July 22, 2026, affecting some parts of the Island Garden City of Samal (IGACOS). These are necessary to replace pin insulators from Caliclic Substation to Phoenix Gas Station.
To avoid a longer power interruption, the loads from the affected lines will be transferred to a nearby substation for 30 minutes at any time between 9:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. Meanwhile, the normalization or return of loads to their normal setup will be conducted for 30 minutes at any time between 5:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m.
Specifically affected are customers from Phoenix Gas Station at Mae Wess Port to Circumferential Road and Brgy. Villarica, Moncado, Miranda in Babak up to Tambo, Camudmud, Cogon, Balet and nearby areas; from Kinawitnon Rotunda going to Mambago B, Mambago A, San Miguel via Kinawitnon Road up to Phil-Power Ventures (formerly MGC) and going to Catagman, Amaranta Beach, portions in Limao and nearby areas.
To facilitate the necessary works, an 8-hour power interruption will be conducted from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., affecting customers from Caliclic Coast Guard Sub-station going to Circumferential Road up to Phoenix Gas Station, including Bridgeport by Damosa Land, Club Samal, Mae Wess Port, Camp Holiday, and nearby areas.
Davao Light apologizes for the inconvenience caused by these scheduled power interruptions. But it will exert all efforts to restore electric service as scheduled or earlier. However, there may be instances where restoration may extend beyond the schedule due to unavoidable circumstances.
