Switching power interruptions on July 12 and 13 in Davao City and Davao del Norte

Davao Light and Power Co., Inc. (Davao Light) will conduct switching power interruptions on Sunday and Monday, July 12 and 13, 2026, affecting some parts of Davao City and Davao del Norte. These are necessary to facilitate various substation and line works along Panabo, Tadeco, and Sto. Tomas.


To avoid a longer power interruption, the loads from the affected lines will be transferred to a nearby substation for 45 minutes at any time between 12:00 a.m. and 3:00 a.m. on Sunday, July 12. Specifically affected are customers from Davao Light Bunawan Substation to J. P. Laurel, Panabo, to Gredu Poblacion area; portions of Brgy. Gredu, Brgy. San Francisco (Poblacion) and nearby areas; and from San Vicente to Panabo Wharf area.


To facilitate the necessary works, a 3-hour power interruption will be conducted from 12:00 a.m. to 3:00 a.m. on Sunday, July 12. Customers in the Panabo Wharf area near the Antonio Floirendo Elementary School II, from the crossing of the Sagrada Familia Subdivision to Edwin Olita Store, will be affected by this service disruption.


An 8-hour power interruption will also be implemented from 12:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. on the same day. Specifically affected are customers from portions of Gredu going to Tadeco Road up to Nanyo Central Elementary School and nearby areas; and portions of Carmen areas from Flying V Carmen going to Tuganay and nearby areas; from J. P. Laurel Panabo to Poblacion areas; Daang Maharlika Highway up to Carmen Municipal Hall;  Anflocor Estate; from Tadeco Road to new Malitbog and Tadeco Substation, including Manay Road, Alejal Road, Biopulp Carmen, La Libertad Road and TADECO Central, and from Sto. Tomas Substation to Sto. Tomas proper, including Kinawayan, Katipunan, Luna, and Marsman.


Meanwhile, the normalization or return of loads to their normal setup will be conducted for 45 minutes at any time between 8:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m. on Sunday, July 12, affecting customers from Davao Light Bunawan Substation to J. P. Laurel, Panabo, to Gredu Poblacion area; portions of Brgy. Gredu, Brgy. San Francisco (Poblacion) and nearby areas; and San Vicente going to Panabo Wharf area.


Another normalization activity will be conducted for 45 minutes at any time between 12:00 a.m. and 2:00 a.m. on Monday, July 13. Customers from Davao Light Tadeco Substation going to Sto. Tomas-Carmen Road, including Alejal and La Libertad Road; from Sto. Tomas Substation to Sto. Tomas proper, including Kinawayan, Katipunan, Luna, and Marsman.


Davao Light apologizes for the inconvenience caused by these scheduled power interruptions. But it will exert all efforts to restore electric service as scheduled or earlier. However, there may be instances where restoration may extend beyond the schedule due to unavoidable circumstances.


Safety is paramount to the company, and Davao Light reminds the public to always take extra precautions when passing by activity areas where line repairs and maintenance are being done. Please heed and follow warning signs, especially in areas where personnel operate heavy equipment.
