Switching power interruptions on January 10 and 11 in the Cities of Davao and Panabo

Davao Light and Power Co., Inc. (Davao Light) will conduct switching power interruptions on Saturday and Sunday, January 10 and 11, 2026, in the northern part of Davao Light’s franchise area. These are necessary to facilitate line works along Bunawan to Lasang.
To avoid a longer power interruption, the loads from the affected lines will be transferred to a nearby substation for 45 minutes anytime between 10:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 10. Specifically affected are those from the Bunawan overpass up to Lasang overpass and nearby areas, portions of Daang Maharlika Highway in Panabo from Panabo City Hall up to Emcor Panabo; and Daang Maharlika Highway from Davao Light Don Ramon Substation to Cabantian-Bunawan Road up to Flying V gas station, including Bosque, San Isidro, and Piatos.
To facilitate the necessary works, an 8-hour power interruption will be conducted from 10:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 10, to 6:00 a.m. on Sunday, January 11. Customers from the INC Church Bunawan to Shacman, Bridgeway Hardware Lasang will be affected by this service disruption.
Additionally, a 30-minute power interruption will also be conducted anytime between 5:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m. on Sunday, January 11. Specifically affected are those from portions of Daang Maharlika Highway in Panabo from Panabo City Hall up to Emcor Panabo, and from Bunawan overpass up to Lasang overpass, and nearby areas.
Meanwhile, the normalization or return of loads to their normal setup will be conducted for 30 minutes anytime between 6:00 a.m. and 7:00 a.m. on Sunday, January 11. Customers from portions of Daang Maharlika Highway in Panabo, from Panabo City Hall up to Emcor Panabo, will be affected by this service disruption.
Also affected are those from the Bunawan overpass up to Lasang overpass, and nearby areas, and along Daang Maharlika Highway from Palawan Pawnshop Bunawan to Cabantian-Bunawan Road up to Flying V gas station, including Bosque, San Isidro, and Piatos.
Davao Light apologizes for the inconvenience caused by these scheduled power interruptions. But it will exert all efforts to restore electric service as scheduled or earlier. However, there may be instances where restoration may extend beyond the schedule due to unavoidable circumstances.
