Switching power interruptions on August 8 and 9 in the Cities of Davao and Panabo

Davao Light and Power Co., Inc. (Davao Light) will conduct switching power interruptions on Saturday and Sunday, August 8 and 9, 2026, affecting various parts of Davao City and Panabo City.
The first power interruption is necessary to facilitate line reconfiguration at Puan Switching Station. To avoid a longer power interruption, the loads from the affected lines will be transferred to a nearby substation for 45 minutes at any time between 12:00 a.m. and 1:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 8.
Specifically affected are customers from the entire Dumoy area to Daliao Toril, including Vales Beach; going to Libby Road Toril Memorial via Bago Aplaya Road; and nearby areas; and the entire Puan to Bambu Estate, Catalunan Pequeno, and nearby areas.
The second power interruption is necessary to facilitate substation works at San Pedro Substation. The loads from the affected lines will be transferred to a nearby substation for 45 minutes at any time between 10:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 8.
Customers from the Panabo Wharf area from Petron Gas Station to AIE, Stanfilco Wharf, Panabo Coast Guard to Ornels Sea Foods and nearby areas will be affected by this service disruption.
Lastly, switching power interruptions will be implemented to facilitate substation works at Ecoland Substation. The loads from the affected lines will be transferred to a nearby substation for 45 minutes at any time between 1:00 a.m. and 2:00 a.m. on Sunday, August 9. Meanwhile, the normalization or return of loads to their normal setup will be conducted for 45 minutes at any time between 10:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. on the same day.
Specifically affected are customers from Tulip Drive to Quimpo Boulevard (ET KTV) up to LTO Boulevard Office, including portions of Eco West Drive; from Davao-Cotabato Road corner Acacia to Bolton Bridge, including First Avenue, Mangga Street, and Champaca Street; along Quimpo Boulevard; from Qurino Avenue to Bankerohan area, including Fr. Selga Street, San Pedro Extension, Camus Extension, and portions of A. Pichon Street from Quirino Avenue to WS Shopping Center.
Davao Light apologizes for the inconvenience caused by these scheduled power interruptions. But it will exert all efforts to restore electric service as scheduled or earlier. However, there may be instances where restoration may extend beyond the schedule due to unavoidable circumstances.
