Switching power interruptions on August 29 and September 1 in Davao City

Davao Light and Power Co., Inc. (Davao Light) will conduct switching power interruptions on Saturday and Tuesday, August 29 and September 1, 2026, affecting various parts of Davao City.
The first set of switching power interruptions is necessary to facilitate substation works in Calinan Substation. To avoid a longer power interruption, the loads from the affected lines will be transferred to a nearby substation for 30 minutes at any time between 1:00 a.m. and 2:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 29. Meanwhile, the normalization or return of loads to their normal setup will be conducted for 30 minutes at any time between 12:01 a.m. and 2:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 1.
Specifically affected are customers from Purok 3, Lower Rapnaga, Bago Bridge, Talomo to Davao-Digos Road and Davao-Bukidnon Road (Bago Bridge area) via Davao-Digos Road; from Skyline Subdivision to Deca Homes Tacunan and nearby areas; and from Bambu Estate going to Mintal Police Station and nearby areas.
To facilitate the necessary works, a 2-hour power interruption will be conducted from 1:00 a.m. to 3:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 29. Customers along Calinan-Baguio-Cadalian Road via R. Magsaysay Street and Datu Abing Street, including Kalye Apeke and portions of Villafuerte Street, and nearby areas, will be affected by this service interruption.
The second set of switching power interruptions is necessary to implement preventive maintenance works at the Holcim Switching Station. Load transfer will be conducted for 45 minutes at any time between 6:00 a.m. and 7:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 1. Meanwhile, the normalization will be conducted for 45 minutes at any time between 6:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. on the same day.
Specifically affected are those from the entire Tibungco, from Buhisan to Davao Light Bunawan Substation, and going to Unifrutti, Panacan Shell, including Ilang, Eliong Tibungco, Purok 15, Panuntungan Street, and nearby areas.
Davao Light apologizes for the inconvenience caused by these scheduled power interruptions. But it will exert all efforts to restore electric service as scheduled or earlier. However, there may be instances where restoration may extend beyond the schedule due to unavoidable circumstances.
