Davao Light and Power Co., Inc. (Davao Light) will conduct switching power interruptions on April 6, 9, and 13, 2026, in various parts of Davao City and Panabo City.

The first switching power interruptions are necessary to facilitate substation works at the Pampanga Substation. To avoid a longer power interruption, the loads from the affected lines will be transferred to a nearby substation for 45 minutes anytime between 5:00 a.m. and 8:00 a.m. on Monday, April 6. Meanwhile, the normalization or return of loads to their normal setup will be conducted for 45 minutes anytime between 1:00 a.m. and 3:00 a.m. on the following Monday, April 13.

Specifically affected are customers in the entire Pampanga from portions of Lanang at Azuela Cove going to DPWH Panacan, including Sasa, and nearby areas; along Mamay Road from Davao Light Substation to St. Anthony Village, including Roseville Subdivision, E. Ramos, and nearby areas.

Also affected are those from Mamay Road going to Cabantian Road up to Harmony Subdivision, including Countryville, Emilia Homes, portions of Country Homes, Emily Homes, Deca Homes Cabantian, and nearby areas; Lanang from portions of N. Arroyo Street going to West Insular Village, including Guadalupe Village and nearby areas; along Daang Maharlika Highway from Panacan Cemetery to Davao Light Don Ramon Substation Bunawan, including Panacan and Tibungco, Mudiang, and Ilang, and nearby areas.

Customers from the Bunawan overpass up to the Lasang overpass, and nearby areas, and portions of Daang Maharlika Highway in Panabo from Panabo City Hall up to Emcor Panabo are also affected by these service disruptions.

Lastly, an 8-hour power interruption will be conducted on Thursday, April 9, to facilitate overhead line works for the P. Reyes Substation. This will be from 4:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., affecting customers along Rizal Extension from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints going to the corner of De Jesus Street, including portions in Brgy 38-D PC Compound, back of Royal House, and nearby areas.

Davao Light apologizes for the inconvenience caused by these scheduled power interruptions. But it will exert all efforts to restore electric service as scheduled or earlier. However, there may be instances where restoration may extend beyond the schedule due to unavoidable circumstances.

Safety is paramount to the company, and Davao Light reminds the public to always take extra precautions when passing by activity areas where line repairs and maintenance are being done. Please heed and follow warning signs, especially in areas where personnel operate heavy equipment.
