Switching power interruptions on April 26 and 27 in Davao City and Davao del Norte

Davao Light and Power Co., Inc. (Davao Light) will conduct switching power interruptions on Sunday and Monday, April 26 and 27, 2026, affecting different parts of Davao City and Davao del Norte.
The first set of switching power interruptions is necessary to facilitate pole relocation in Matina, Davao City. To avoid a longer power interruption, the loads from the affected lines will be transferred to a nearby substation for 30 minutes anytime between 12:00 a.m. and 1:00 a.m. on Sunday, April 26. Meanwhile, the normalization or return of loads to their normal setup will be conducted for 30 minutes anytime between 8:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m. on the same day.
Specifically affected are customers from Matina Baptist Church along corner McArthur Highway and Quimpo Boulevard going to Alexian Brothers and nearby areas, including Matina Shrine area up to ABS-CBN Transmitter site.
To facilitate the necessary works, an 8-hour power interruption will be conducted from 12:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. on Sunday, April 26, affecting customers from Davao Light Substation along Km 5 Guadalupe Village Matina Pangi Road going to McArthur Highway Matina up to Matina Baptist Church including NCCC Centerpoint and nearby areas.
The second switching power interruption is necessary to conduct line works in Caliclic Substation in Samal. To facilitate the necessary works, a 7-hour power interruption will be conducted from 3:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. on Sunday, April 26. Customers from Phoenix Gas Station along MaeWess port Caliclic Samal, including Camp Holiday going to Limao Circumferential Road up to Discovery Samal, including Bridgeport Harbor and portions of Limao, Playa Azalea and nearby areas will be affected by this service disruption.
Lastly, switching power interruptions will also be conducted to facilitate emergency works at Don Ramon Substation. The transfer of loads will be for 45 minutes anytime between 12:00 a.m. and 3:00 a.m. on Sunday, April 26.
Specifically affected are those along Daang Maharlika Highway from Unifrutti Panacan to Davao Light Don Ramon Substation Bunawan, including Tibungco, Mudiang, Ilang and nearby areas, from Bunawan Shell going to J. P. Laurel Panabo up to Gredu poblacion area; portions of Gredu going to Tadeco Road up to Nanyo Central Elementary School and nearby areas; portions of Brgy. Gredu, Brgy. San Francisco (Poblacion), and portions of Carmen area from Flying V Carmen going to Tuganay and nearby areas.
Also affected are those from J. P. Laurel Panabo to Panabo Poblacion areas; Daang Maharlika Highway up to Carmen Municipal Hall, and Tadeco Road up to Nanyo.
To facilitate the necessary works, an 8-hour power outage will be conducted from 12:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. on Sunday, April 26 affecting customers from Tadeco Road to new Malitbog and Tadeco Substation, including Manay Road, Alejal Road, Biopulp Carmen, La Libertad Road, and TADECO Central; and from Sto. Tomas Substation to Sto. Tomas proper, including Kinawayan, Katipunan, Luna, and Marsman.
Meanwhile, the normalization will be conducted for 45 minutes anytime between 12:00 a.m. and 2:00 a.m. on Monday, April 27. Specifically affected are those from Tadeco Road to new Malitbog and Tadeco Substation, including Manay Road, Alejal Road, Biopulp Carmen, La Libertad Road and TADECO Central; from Sto. Tomas Substation to Sto. Tomas proper, including Kinawayan, Katipunan, Luna, and Marsman.
Customers from J. P. Laurel Panabo to Panabo Poblacion areas; Panabo wharf; Daang Maharlika Highway up to Carmen Municipal Hall; Tadeco Road up to Nanyo; from Bunawan Shell going to J. P. Laurel Panabo up to Gredu poblacion area; portions of Gredu going to Tadeco Road up to Nanyo Central Elementary School and nearby areas; portions of Brgy. Gredu, Brgy. San Francisco (Poblacion), and portions of Carmen areas from Flying V Carmen going to Tuganay and nearby areas, will also be affected by this service disruption.
Davao Light apologizes for the inconvenience caused by these scheduled power interruptions. But it will exert all efforts to restore electric service as scheduled or earlier. However, there may be instances where restoration may extend beyond the schedule due to unavoidable circumstances.
