Scheduled power interruptions on August 30 and 31 in Davao City and Davao del Norte
Davao Light and Power Co., Inc. (Davao Light) will conduct scheduled power interruptions on Sunday and Monday, August 30 and 31, 2026, affecting various parts of Davao City and Davao del Norte.
The first scheduled power interruption is necessary to facilitate DRA Substation 69kV line works along J. P. Laurel, Panabo. This will be for 45 minutes at any time between 1:00 a.m. and 3:00 a.m. on Sunday, August 30. Specifically affected are customers from Bunawan Shell to J. P. Laurel, Panabo to Gredu Poblacion area; portions of Gredu to Tadeco Road up to Nanyo Central Elementary School, and nearby areas; portions of Brgy. Gredu, Brgy. San Francisco (Poblacion), and portions of Carmen from Flying V Carmen to Tuganay and nearby areas; entire Bunawan to Bunawan Shell, including Mahayag, Gatungan, Bosque, Piatos, Lasang, Licanan, and nearby areas.
Meanwhile, two scheduled power interruptions will be implemented in Davao City to facilitate substation works at Cabantian Substation. This will be for 2 hours from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. on Sunday, August 30, affecting customers from Angliongto Road to Cabantian Road to Indangan Barangay Hall and nearby areas; from Palawan Pawnshop at AGK Building, Country Homes to Harmony Subdivision, Cabantian and nearby areas.
An 8-hour power interruption will also be implemented from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on the same day, affecting customers along Angliongto Road, including the Assembly Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, to Cabantian Road, from Fusion Gas Station going to Palawan Pawnshop, AGK Building, including portions of Country Homes, Emily Homes, Emilia Homes, Victors Executive Homes, Countryville, Dela Pena Avenue, and nearby areas.
Lastly, a scheduled power interruption is necessary to facilitate massive vegetation clearing from Cawag to Kaputian in the Island Garden City of Samal. This will be for 8 hours from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Monday, August 31, affecting customers from Cawag to Kaputian Road, including Del Monte, Anonang, Bandera, Kaputian Poblacion, Aumbay, Libertad, Pangubatan, and nearby areas.
Davao Light apologizes for the inconvenience caused by these scheduled power interruptions. But it will exert all efforts to restore electric service as scheduled or earlier. However, there may be instances where restoration may extend beyond the schedule due to unavoidable circumstances.
