Emergency power interruptions on October 17 in Davao City
Davao Light and Power Co., Inc. (Davao Light) will conduct emergency power interruptions on Saturday, October 17, 2026, affecting customers in northern Davao City. These are necessary to implement substation repairs at Panacan Substation.
To avoid a longer power interruption, loads from the affected lines will be transferred to a nearby substation for 30 minutes at any time between 1:00 a.m. and 2:00 a.m. Meanwhile, the normalization or return of loads to their normal setup will be conducted for 30 minutes at any time between 5:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m.
Specifically affected are customers along Panacan Diversion Road, from Panacan Public Cemetery to Camel Appliances; Pampanga areas, from Mercury Drug Dona Pilar to DPWH Panacan, and nearby areas; Panacan Diversion Road, from Panacan Public Cemetery to Daang Maharlika Road up to Unifrutti Panacan, and nearby areas.
To facilitate the necessary work, a 4-hour power interruption will be implemented from 1:00 a.m. to 5:00 a.m., affecting customers along Daang Maharlika Highway from Ansaldo Red Ball Logistics up to Tibungco Public Market, including St. Peter Panacan, FSTA, Tefasco, DICGC, Ilang Center Complex, ESBE Industrial Builders, Monde Nissin, and nearby establishments.
Davao Light apologizes for the inconvenience caused by these emergency power interruptions. But it will exert all efforts to restore electric service as scheduled or earlier. However, there may be instances where restoration may extend beyond the schedule due to unavoidable circumstances.
