Emergency power interruptions on August 27 to 31 in Talicud Island

Davao Light and Power Co., Inc. (Davao Light) will conduct emergency power interruptions today, August 27, until Monday, August 31, 2026, affecting portions of Talicud Island due to generator trouble at the NPC - Talicud Diesel Power Plant.

These power interruptions will be for 4 hours starting at any time between 5:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. 

Today, August 27, customers in Mansud and nearby areas will be affected by this emergency power outage. On Friday, August 28, the interruption will affect customers from Maniksik and Sta. Cruz Elementary School and nearby areas, while on Saturday, August 29, it will affect those from Sta. Cruz Centro and Purok Tisa and nearby areas.

Customers from Brgy. Linusotan near Brgy. Hall and nearby areas will be affected by this emergency power outage on Sunday, August 30. Meanwhile, customers from Cogon, INC Dapia and nearby areas will be affected on Monday, August 31.

Davao Light apologizes for the inconvenience caused by these emergency power interruptions. But it will exert all efforts to restore electric service as scheduled or earlier. However, there may be instances where restoration may extend beyond the schedule due to unavoidable circumstances.

Safety is paramount to the company, and Davao Light reminds the public to always take extra precautions when passing by activity areas where line repairs and maintenance are being done. Please heed and follow warning signs, especially in areas where personnel operate heavy equipment.
