8-hour emergency power interruption on August 19 in IGACOS

Davao Light and Power Co., Inc. (Davao Light) will conduct an eight-hour emergency power interruption on Wednesday, August 19, 2026, from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., affecting the Island Garden City of Samal, Davao del Norte. This is necessary to facilitate massive clearing of vegetation from Cawag to Kaputian.

Specifically affected are customers from Cawag to Kaputian Road, including Del Monte, Anonang, Bandera, Kaputian Poblacion, Aumbay, Libertad, Pangubatan, and nearby areas.

Davao Light apologizes for the inconvenience caused by this emergency power interruption. But it will exert all efforts to restore electric service as scheduled or earlier. However, there may be instances where restoration may extend beyond the schedule due to unavoidable circumstances.
