30-minute power interruption on February 21 in Davao City

Davao Light and Power Co., Inc. (Davao Light) will conduct a 30-minute power interruption on Saturday, February 21, 2026, anytime between 1:00 a.m. and 4:00 a.m., affecting different parts of Davao City. This advisory reflects a change in the schedule initially released by the company on February 14, 2026.
This 30-minute power interruption is necessary to conduct the normalization or return of loads to their normal setup after the completion of the substation works for the Binugao Substation.
Specifically affected are those from Sta. Ana Avenue to Bruno Gempesaw Street and Monteverde up to Villa Abrille Street, portions of Lizada Street, F. Bangoy Street, Leon Garcia Street fronting AISAT going to Brgy Lapu-Lapu, Brgy Centro Extension Agdao, Davao Fire Fighters, Alumina Industries, Agdao Flyover, Gotamco Agdao, and nearby areas.
Customers along J. P. Laurel Avenue from Shell Bajada in front of the Bajada Power Plant up to the Go Hotel Lanang, including portions of Mamay Road up to Farmacia Southern and nearby areas, will also be affected by this service disruption.
Also affected are those along Maa Road from Sea Oil Las Terrazas going to the corner of Yniguez Subdivision; St. Michael Village from Eden Street going to portions of San Rafael Village at Pest Science Corp., and nearby areas; from Tulip Drive to Quimpo Boulevard (ET KTV), including portions of Eco West Drive up to LTO Boulevard; entire Maa; Diversion Road to Jade Valley, Juliville to Tigatto, Mandug, Callawa, and all neighboring areas; Diversion Road going to Bean Xpress Matina Pangi Diversion and neighboring areas.
Those from Tulip Drive to Matina Town Square, including Matina IT Park; the entire Dumoy going to Daliao Toril, including Vales Beach; going to Libby Road Toril Memorial via Bago Aplaya road; and nearby areas; entire Toril to Carabao statue, including Lubogan, Tagakpan, Manambulan, and nearby areas; and those from the Carabao Statue, Saavedra Street Toril up to the entire Binugao area, including Sirawan, and Catigan areas, will also experience this power interruption.
Meanwhile, customers from Puan to Mercury Ulas who were initially scheduled to be affected only by the February 16 load transfer will also experience this 30-minute power interruption on Saturday, February 21.
Davao Light apologizes for the inconvenience caused by this scheduled power interruption. But it will exert all efforts to restore electric service as scheduled or earlier. However, there may be instances where restoration may extend beyond the schedule due to unavoidable circumstances.
