30-minute emergency power interruption on April 25 in Davao City

Davao Light and Power Co., Inc. (Davao Light) will conduct a 30-minute power interruption on Saturday, April 25, 2026, to facilitate emergency line works in Bangkal and Puan.

To avoid a longer power interruption, the loads from the affected lines will be transferred to a nearby substation for 30 minutes anytime between 1:00 a.m. and 4:00 a.m.

Specifically affected are those from Bangkal Diversion Road to Davao-Cotabato Road, corner Talomo Road to Libby Road up to South Pacific Estates, including DCWD Talomo Pump and Treatment Plant; also covering portions of Central Park Bangkal, Taal Road up to Cordillera Street Relief Bridge.

Davao Light apologizes for the inconvenience caused by this emergency power interruption. But it will exert all efforts to restore electric service as scheduled or earlier. However, there may be instances where restoration may extend beyond the schedule due to unavoidable circumstances.

Safety is paramount to the company, and Davao Light reminds the public to always take extra precautions when passing by activity areas where line repairs and maintenance are being done. Please heed and follow warning signs, especially in areas where personnel operate heavy equipment.
