Service disruptions on February 23 in some parts of Lanang and Downtown areas

Davao Light and Power Co., Inc. will conduct a series of power interruptions on February 23, Sunday, affecting customers in Downtown and Lanang areas.

These service disruptions will be necessary to facilitate upgrading works at Davao Light Victoria Plaza Substation and relocation of poles along J.P. Laurel Avenue.

The first power interruption will be for one- hour anytime between 2:30 a.m. to 4:00 a.m.. Specifically affected are customers in J.P. Laurel Avenue, from Panasonic Main Office in Bajada to Abreeza Mall, including Lacson Street, Medical School Drive and nearby areas. Also affected are customers in some parts of Barrio Obrero, from NCCC Victoria Plaza going to N. Torres Street.

Moreover, two 30-minute power interruptions will also be conducted on the same day. This will be from 4:30 a.m. to 5:00 a.m. and anytime between 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. affecting customers from corner J.P. Laurel Avenue and Mamay Road going to N. Arroyo Street and nearby areas.

Davao Light apologizes for the inconvenience brought about by this scheduled power interruption. But it will exert all efforts to restore electric service as scheduled or earlier. However, there may be instances where restoration may extend beyond the schedule due to unavoidable circumstances.
