Service disruptions on November 29 and 30 in portions of Davao City downtown and northern part of Davao Light franchise

Davao Light and Power Co., Inc. will conduct a series of power interruptions on November 29 and 30 affecting customers in the downtown and northern part of the Davao Light franchise.

The service disruptions on Nov. 29 will be necessary to facilitate upgrading works on Davao Light's 13.8 kV line in the DRA substation.

The first power interruption will be for 30 minutes be anytime between 9:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. affecting customers in Bunawan, Lasang, Mahayag, Bosque, Panabo City, Sto. Tomas, Carmen, Dujali and some parts of Kapalong. This will also include customers in Paquibato, Manay, Tubod, Malitbog, TADECO, DAPECOL, La Libertad, Alejal, New Visayas, Kimamon, Katipunan, Luna and nearby areas.

Meanwhile, a 15-minute power interruption will be conducted on the same day anytime between 10:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.. Specifically affected are customers in Tibungco, Ilang, Mudiang, Bugac, parts of Panacan and nearby areas.

Another 15-minute power interruption will also be experienced anytime between 10:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. by customers in Bajada, which is from Carmelite Church to Abreeza Mall, including Cabaguio. Also affected are customers in Davao Light Bajada Office going to Panorama Subdivision via Buhangin Underpass and Mandug Road, including Dumanlas, Ladislawa, San Pedro Village and neighboring areas. Customers in Bajada going to Bioessence via Circumferential Road will also experience this short service disruption.

Moreover, the power outages on Nov. 30 will be necessary to facilitate normalization of loads after the line works in Davao Light DRA substation.

Customers in Bunawan, Lasang, Mahayag, Bosque, Panabo City, Sto. Tomas, Carmen, Dujali and parts of Kapalong. This includes Paquibato, Manay, Tubod, Malitbog, TADECO, DAPECOL, La Libertad, Alejal, New Visayas, Kimamon, Katipunan, Luna and nearby areas will experience the 30-minute power interruption anytime between 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m..

Those in Tibungco, Ilang, Mudiang, Bugac and Panacan settlers including those from Bottle King, Buhisan up to Holy Cross of Bunawan will experience a 15-minute power interruption anytime between 11:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m..

Lastly, another 15-minute service disruption anytime between 11:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. will also be experienced by customers along J.P. Laurel Avenue specifically from Abreeza Mall to Gaisano Mall of Davao, Barrio Obrero, F. Torres, E. Jacinto Street, Guerrero Street, parts of R. Magsaysay Avenue and Sta. Ana Avenue and nearby areas. Also affected are customers from Bacaca Road going to Mandug via El Rio, Garcia Heights, Jade Valley, Juliville, Panorama, Tigatto and neighboring areas.

Davao Light apologizes for the inconvenience brought about by this scheduled power interruption. But it will exert all efforts to restore electric service as scheduled or earlier. However, there may be instances where restoration may extend beyond the schedule due to unavoidable circumstances.
